Excerpt: Sweden - Muslim community fears violence after attack on elderly couple.

An elderly couple was attacked last Monday when trying to park their car in the Swedish town of Landskrona.

The couple were trying to park, but another car was in their way. They honked and parked. But the young man (23) in the other car rolled down his window and asked why they honked. An altercation started. The young man became so upset, he threw the car door on the 71 year old man, Sven, who fell down. The young man then started beating the 71 year old.

The older man's 78 year old wife, Inger, tried to intervene, but was punched in the face and fainted.

The younger man fled in his car. The elderly couple were brought to the hospital. The 71 year was in shock and had injuries to his face and back. The 78 year old was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died of her injuries Wednesday.

I'm sorry? I don't think I heard that correctly? THEY fear violence? Can someone name me the last attack on an elderly Muslim couple parking their car? What about a Muslim cartoonist having his home invaded by an angry Christian or Jew wielding an axe because he was upset at a political cartoon? When was the last Muslim filmmaker stabbed to death in the street for making a movie critical of the Amish or Lutherans? Muslims constantly wail about their fear of backlash (over their OWN ACTS mind you) yet seem to be the only ones actually perpetrating the sort of violence they claim they're afraid of experiencing. Assholes.

In Austria's recent general election, nearly 30 per cent of voters backed extremist right-wing parties. Live visits the birthplace of Hitler to investigate how Fascism is once again threatening to erupt across Europe. [...]

Last September, Austria’s far right gained massive political influence in an election that saw the FPO along with another far right party – Alliance For The Future (BZO) – gain 29 per cent of the vote, the same share as Austria’s main party, the Social Democrats. The election stirred up terrifying memories of the rise of the Nazi Party in the Thirties.

And just as the Nazis gained power on the back of extreme nationalism and virulent anti-Semitism, the recent unprecedented gains in Austria were made on a platform of fear about immigration and the perceived threat of Islam. FPO leader Heinz Christian Strache, for example, described women in Islamic dress as ‘female ninjas’.

Emboldened by the new power in parliament, neo-Nazi thugs have desecrated Muslim graves. Recently, in Hitler’s home town of Braunau, a swastika flag was publicly unveiled.

The FPO wants to legalise Nazi symbols, while its firebrand leader has been accused of having links to far right extremists.

After the FPO’s election victory, Nick Griffin, leader of the British Nationalist Party (BNP), sent a personal message to Strache.

‘We in Britain are impressed to see that you have been able to combine principled nationalism with electoral success. We are sure that this gives you a good springboard for the European elections and we hope very much that we will be able to join you in a successful nationalist block in Brussels next year.’

The message followed on from a secret meeting last May in which a high-ranking FPO politician paid a visit to London for a meeting with Griffin.

The relationship between the FPO and the BNP becomes more worrying as I learn of the strong links between Austria’s political party and hard-line Nazis.

No matter how happy go lucky and multi-culti Europe seems, they're only ever one or two bad experiences away from grabbing their Darth Vader helmets and cleaning house... Book your boxcar back to Istanbul and Morocco now, before the rush...

Islam Film Dutch MP To Be Charged

A Dutch court has ordered prosecutors to put a right-wing politician on trial for making anti-Islamic statements.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders made a controversial film last year equating Islam with violence and has likened the Koran to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.

"In a democratic system, hate speech is considered so serious that it is in the general interest to... draw a clear line," the court in Amsterdam said.

Mr Wilders said the judgement was an "attack on the freedom of expression".

"Participation in the public debate has become a dangerous activity. If you give your opinion, you risk being prosecuted," he said.

Not only he, but all Dutch citizens opposed to the "Islamisation" of their country would be on trial, Mr Wilders warned.

"Who will stand up for our culture if I am silenced?" he added.

It'll be entertaining (horrible, but entertaining) to listen to these euro-dolts exclaiming "but but but we defended you!" as they're dragged out of their offices to be beheaded.

UK School Cancels Christmas Nativity In Favour Of Muslim Eid Celebrations

Greenwood Junior School sent out a letter to parents saying the three-day festival of Eid al-Adha, which takes place between December 8 and 11, meant that Muslim children would be off school.

That meant planning for the traditional nativity play were shelved because the school felt it would be too difficult to run both celebrations side by side.

The move has left parents furious. [...]

Following outrage from parents, the school was forced to send out a second letter saying that the Christmas play would be done in January.

Sent by the head teacher, Amber Latif, and Yvonne Wright, chair of governors, it apologised for "any misunderstanding" but said it had to respect "the cultures and religions of all the children".

It added: "The Christmas performance has not been cancelled outright but has been postponed until the New Year."

Now, I can understand the school's choice to move the Christmas celebration. After all, the Christians aren't very likely to go wacky and riot or take hostages over a slight offense. Still, here's how it should work; if no other accommodation can be made the Muslim children and their parents have a choice to make: do they want to be in the Christmas Pageant or do they want to celebrate Eid? The school could also move the Eid observance to January. The Muslims could also send their children to a Muslim school, but given the already great failure to matriculate into British culture I'm not sure I'd encourage that.

Muslims Bash Gay Man In London

A gay man has been left paralyzed after an attack in London:

A 15-YEAR-OLD has appeared in court charged with a "serious homophobic attack" on a gay man who has been left permanently paralysed from the waist down.

The teenager, who can not be named for legal reasons, spoke only to confirm his name and East Ham address at Thames Youth Court in Bow yesterday.

Dressed in a white hooded top and dark jeans, the Asian youth at one point held his head in his hands.

Police had earlier charged him with homophobic aggravated assault with intent, occasioning grievous bodily harm.

Was it a bunch of right wing thugs from the British National Party? No. Soccer hooligans out for a night of drinking and carousing? Nope. It was a group of Muslims - identified in liberal Brit parlance as "Asian youth" - that stabbed and beat the man. It's not just England either; attacks like this are becoming all too common in once liberal bastions of Western Europe which are being inundated by Muslim immigration. I would imagine this "Asian youth" is going to demand - as a matter of "human rights" mind you - that he be tried by one of Britain's new Sharia Courts - where his attempt to rid the world of another dirty infidel will be truly appreciated.

Far Right Wins In Austria... Not the conservatives; the fascists:

The far Right has made a grand return in Austria, emerging from yesterday’s elections as the second biggest parliamentary block, according to preliminary results.

The two parties that campaigned on an anti-immigrant and anti-European Union ticket have captured about 29 per cent of the vote, pushing the country’s traditional conservative party into third place.

Heinz-Christian Strache and his Freedom Party, who were accused of xenophobia and waging an antiMuslim campaign, won 18 per cent — a rise of 7 per cent compared with the last elections. Mr Strache’s former mentor, Jörg Haider, won 11 per cent of the vote with his new party, the Alliance for the Future of Austria.

The mainstream parties recorded their lowest share of the vote since the Second World War, with the Social Democrats dropping 7 per cent to 29.7 per cent, while the conservative People’s Party won 25.6 per cent of the vote — a decline of 9 per cent compared with 2006. [...]

Analysts believe that the surge of the far Right reflects the voters’ dissatisfaction with the failure of the two mainstream parties to provide a functioning government. Their success also owes much to rising anxieties over immigration and the influence of the European Union.

Why? Melanie Phillips speculates:

The rise of these noxious groups is entirely due to the abandonment by social democratic parties of the defence of the nation and the right of individual peoples to their own cultures and self-government. The continuing rise of the BNP in Britain is overwhelmingly the outcome both of the fanatical Europhilia which masquerades as the centre ground while engaged on its project to destroy Britain as an independent nation, and the systematic destruction of British national identity and the demonisation of those Britons who object by the dominant left-wing elites.

The awful thing is that, as the far-right advances and social disorder increases – as it will -- muddled liberals and malign leftists will blame these political and social calamities on ‘the far right’. As a result, the steady encroachment of Islamism will proceed apace -- and anyone who objects will also be demonised as ‘the far right’. The rise of the neo-Nazis will thus turn the defence of democracy toxic. There is therefore a danger that the only people who will be fighting the Islamic fascists and in defence of the nation against the supranational supremacists will be the fascists.

Europe is walking the narrow peak of two slippery slopes - on one side is Islamization, on the other is their old familiar weakness for Darth Vader helmets and goosestepping over broken glass.

Losing... Losing... How Long Until It's Lost?

Is advocating freedom of speech "extreme" or "fascist"? Is opposing Islam's law, which knows no race, "racist"? Is supporting Israel (which these parties do far more than other European parties) "Nazi"? The outrageously empty epithets of the Islamo-socialist left seem calculated to stop thought cold and trigger a massive rejection reflex. In this way, resistance becomes anathema, and Islamic law, unchecked, spreads across Europe.

Does that sound "Islamophobic"? You bet. How can anyone who values freedom of conscience, equality before the law and other such Western jewels not have a healthy fear of Islamic law, which values none of these things? Incredibly, this is an emotion that is supposed to be suppressed -- and, in Europe, on pain of prosecution. Indeed, because Filip Dewinter admitted to such "Islamophobia" in an interview, his party, the Vlaams Belang, has been taken to court in Belgium on charges of racism, and, if convicted, will be effectively shut down through defunding by the government.

That hasn't stopped Dewinter, who, in accepting an award at a memorial event dedicated to Oriana Fallaci in Florence, last week, said: "Islamophobia is not merely a phenomenon of unparalleled fear, but it is the duty of every one who wants to safeguard Europe's future. Europe means Rome, Greece, Enlightenment and Judeo-Christian roots. Europe is a continent of castles and cathedrals, not of mosques and minarets."

Bit by bit - with chinks in the armor to allow for things that are very un-Western and very un-fair, such as accommodating Sharia law in Britain, under which British women are second class citizens:

There are concerns for women suffering under the Islamic laws, which favours men.

Mr Siddiqi said that in a recent inheritance dispute handled by the court in Nuneaton, the estate of a Midlands man was divided between three daughters and two sons.

The judges on the panel gave the sons twice as much as the daughters, in accordance with sharia. Had the family gone to a normal British court, the daughters would have got equal amounts.

In the six cases of domestic violence, Mr Siddiqi said the judges ordered the husbands to take anger management classes and mentoring from community elders. There was no further punishment.

In each case, the women subsequently withdrew the complaints they had lodged with the police and the police stopped their investigations.

What's wrong with a little Sharia law you say? For one thing, it doesn't know when to quit:

Muslim activists point out that allegedly similar Jewish family courts (Bet Din) and Catholic marriage tribunals have existed in Britain for many years, but there is a major difference: such courts explicitly claim jurisdiction only over their believers, whereas according to orthodox Islamic teaching shari’a is the only legitimate law in the world, with universal jurisdiction over Muslims and non-Muslims alike. To a devout Muslim the incorporation of shari’a into British law is by no means the end of the affair. It is merely a major milestone on the road that cannot stop short of subjecting all Britons, regardless of faith, to the strictures of Allah’s commandment and Muhammad’s example.

Forcing non-Muslim employees to remove images of pigs (you know, Wilbur, Porky, Piglet, Kirstie) from their desks:

NOVELTY pig calendars and toys have been banned from a council office in case they offend Muslim staff.

Workers in the benefits department at Dudley Council, West Midlands, were told to remove or cover up all pig-related items, including toys, porcelain figures, calendars and even a tissue box featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.

Bosses acted after a Muslim complained about pig-shaped stress relievers delivered to the council in the run-up to the Islamic festival of Ramadan.

Muslims are barred from eating pork in the Koran and consider pigs unclean.

Councillor Mahbubur Rahman, a practising Muslim, backed the ban. He said: It's a tolerance of people's beliefs.

Demanding that non-Muslims observe Islamic holidays

Councillors have been ordered not to eat during town hall meetings while Muslim colleagues fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

All elected members at Left-wing Tower Hamlets Council in East London have been sent an email asking them to follow strict Islamic fasting during September no matter what their faith.

Simple respect for another faith? Uh, no. It's forced adherence to Muslim beliefs.

Rulings issued by a network of five sharia courts are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through county courts or the country's High Court, a part of its Supreme Court system.

It's ironic that in the week of the anniversary of one of the greatest victories of the West over Islam, that Britain - long a defender of Europe and the West - would quietly announce that it has surrendered to Islam. Today it's civil cases but how long until people are being stoned in Trafalgar Square for adultery? How long until shoplifters in Muslim establishments are having their hands cut off? How long until the first Brit is beheaded in the Tower of London for disparaging the prophet (pbbbt on his name). How much longer does Europe have?

English Christians apologize for praying for Muslims:

A row has broken out after a Christian group organised a day of prayer in Oxford about Muslims during Ramadan.

The Muslim Education Centre of Oxford (Meco) accused Witney-based Open Doors UK of preaching “evangelical propaganda”, after the Christian group held a Call to Prayer day in Oxford yesterday.

But Open Doors UK, which held the event at St Aldate’s Church, insisted it had been taken out of context, although it “regretted” any offence that had been caused.

Good grief! They apologized faster than Takeru Kobayashi stuffs his mouth at a hot dog eating contest! Convert already you stupid dhimmis. I don't know about you but the Muslim world can kiss my entire ass; I will never apologize for praying.

Compulsory Fasting For All During Ramadan

Later this month it's Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. It's one of the holiest days of the Jewish calendar, so I'd be obliged, please, if you'd all stay at home, turn off the TV and refrain from your usual activities. Ten days after that it's Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, when Jews fast and spend the day in synagogue. So I've also asked my Times colleagues not to work then. And I will be mightily offended if I learn afterwards that any of them have been eating.

You might not think I am being serious. But if I was Head of Democratic Services at Tower Hamlets Council in East London, I would be. Last week John Williams e-mailed each of the borough's 51 councillors with a similar instruction.

For the duration of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month, they are, he told them - every one of them, Muslim, Catholic, Jew or atheist - to behave during council meetings as strict Muslims. They are not to eat or drink; they are to break for Muslim prayers; they are to do as they are ordered by the Muslim religion.

Oh yes, it is happening. Just imagine the outrage though, if someone tried to make the Muslim councilors fast during Yom Kippur or Lent? Hoo-boy! There'd be rioting and car burning in the streets! Burquas torn in anguish! Islamic Outrage Boy in an apoplectic fit! In short - the typical Muslim reaction to anything they don't like.

You guessed right! Muslims are using their religion to avoid security checks.

POLICE sniffer dogs trained to spot terrorists at railway stations may no longer come into contact with Muslim passengers - after complaints that it is against the suspects' religion.

A report for the Transport Department has raised the prospect that the animals should only touch passengers' luggage because it is considered "more acceptable".

In the Muslim faith, dogs are deemed to be spiritually "unclean". But banning them from touching passengers would severely restrict their ability to do their job.

The report follows trials of station security measures in the wake of the 2005 London suicide bomb attacks. In one trial, some female Muslims said the use of a body scanner was also unacceptable because it was tantamount to being forced to strip. [DS: How 'bout being forced to leave Britain?] . . .

The report concluded: "The use of sniffer dogs was generally problem­atic for Muslim respondents on rel­igious grounds if there was the potential for the dog to make direct contact with them." . . .

Massoud Shadjareh, chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Com­mission, said even dogs touching baggage would be an issue for a Muslim preparing to pray. But he stressed that it should be easy to allow dogs to check passengers without physical contact.

"There is a way of dealing with this and we just need to be sensitive," he said.

No bomb-sniffing dogs, no body scanners, no nothing. I guess we'll just politely ask them if they're carrying any weapons or explosives and trust anyone up to no good to just be honest and go home.

Now, I know that democracy, freedom, and open societies are new concepts for the "Religion of Peace" so here's a little tip for them: your freedom of religion ends at the ticket counter at the airport. Everyone's does. As for feeling like your culture isn't being "respected" - that's not part of the whole life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness package. Grow up.

As Debbie said: We've been waaaay too sensitive already to these people. Yet another example how Greater Barbaria demands the civilized West accommodate them and not the other way around. It'll be the death of us.

A Blurb

I'm rereading Bruce Bawer's column at Pajamas Media on the rising intolerence of and violence directed at gay men and lesbians in Amsterdam - actually it's happening in all of Europe - and I feel the need to share this passage that perfectly sums up the lack of understanding by the multi-culti crowd of the danger that Europe and all of the Western world faces from Islam (not radical Islam... Islam):

Yet politicians, journalists, activists, and others who cling to the multicultural mindset can’t bring themselves to acknowledge the Islamic foundations of all this bullying. Instead, they offer the same kind of nonsense that was served up by a Human Rights Watch spokesman after the Chris Crain incident. “There’s still an extraordinary degree of racism in Dutch society,” that spokesman said. “Gays often become the victims of this when immigrants retaliate for the inequities they have to suffer.”

So powerful is the determination to turn away from the plain and simple truth that Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen recently commissioned a study by the University of Amsterdam. Its purpose? To try to figure out what motives underlie the increase in attacks on gay men and lesbians by Dutch-Moroccan men in Amsterdam. “Some researchers,” wrote a reporter for UPI, “believe they [Muslim gay-bashers] lashed out at local gays after feeling stigmatized by Dutch society.” In other words, as the straight-talking Norwegian immigration expert Inger-Lise Lien put it sardonically when I showed her the article, “it’s the assailant who’s the real victim.”

Take Norway’s Asghar Ali, deputy chairman of Norway’s Islamic Council. Ali, who also holds high-ranking positions in Norway’s ruling Labor Party and in the powerful Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, and has worked in an advisory capacity on the government’s Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud, would seem to be a model of successful assimilation. Yet at a November 2007 debate arranged by the gay student organization at the University of Oslo, he refused to reject the death penalty for gays. When asked about this issue, the head of the Islamic Council, Senaid Kobilica, said that Norwegian Muslims needed to discuss it and consult religious authorities. “While this process is underway,” Kobilica said, “I ask for understanding and respect for the fact that I am unable to comment, either about my personal position or about the position of the Islamic Council of Norway.” Understanding and respect, that is, for his unwillingness to say flat out that he did not believe gay people should be murdered.

Perhaps younger, well educated Muslims are more enlightened? Another participant in the University of Oslo debate, Muslim Student Association head Usman Rana, said that he personally didn’t support making homosexuality a capital crime, but that he would not criticize other countries’ practices. “There is unfortunately a tendency in Norway to degrade religious people,” Rana told Universitas, the college newspaper. “It is due to an extreme secularism among the Norwegian public. I fervently hope that our participation [in the debate on the death penalty for gays] helps to create a more nuanced view of Islam. The Norwegian public needs to become more liberal.” Once again, it’s the assailants - or, in this case, the would-be executioners - who are the real victims.

Did you get that? European society is to blame. Dutch society is intolerant and racist. The Norwegians aren't liberal enough. The aggressors are the victims here. Poor them.

The only question I have is whether the politicians' and multi-culturalists' cluelessness is genuine or willful? On second thought, I think the answer is obvious.

Muslims, Gays, And The Decline Of The West

[T]he greatest enemies of gay people are not social conservatives in the West who may question (what they call) our lifestyle and oppose legislation benefiting us, but Islamic theocrats who execute gay people in jurisdictions where they predominate and seek to destroy the nations with political systems which allow us to live freely.

The silence from the gay media, which he highlights in his post, is deafening.

It was waking up to the threat from radical Islam that brought me all the way out as a conservative. Something my liberal gay friends just don't understand. They have a complete disconnect about the danger that is posed; and quite frankly I'm now convinced it's a danger that isn't limited to "radical" Islam. Homosexuals aren't free or safe in any Muslim country, or apparently any country with a large Muslim immigrant population. Groups like Queers for Palestine are particularly galling and completely absurd. Talk about your unrequited love, huh? You'd think that 110 story skyscrapers collapsing to the stirring sounds of "Allahu Akbar" would be quite attention getting, no?

USMale, a blogger friend of mine says it well too: only in the Western world can a gay man live a free life as himself. Hence, the health and strength of the West is fundamental to my survival. In fact I made that quote the tag line of my blog.

Oh, and who is standing up for the victims of gay bashing in the Netherlands? Geert Wilders - a conservative. Who is vacillating in standing up for them? Yman Mahrach, the liberal.

The brutal "honor killing" of a 16-year-old Afghan immigrant by her brother has sparked a renewed debate in Germany over whether Islamic families can adapt to the social ways of the Western world. [...]

Morsal Obeidi had long struggled with a tug-of-war between her desire to live like her friends in Germany, and her family’s desire to preserve their Afghan lifestyle, the site reported.

Obeidi's arguments with her brother and father, over things like her appearance, smoking and drinking, often turned physical. She reportedly sought the protection of a child and youth welfare agency to escape the violence on more than one occasion.

Ahmed reportedly told police that he killed his sister because she had become too comfortable with Western life with her uncovered hair, makeup and short skirts. [QC: emphasis mine]

Iran Warns Netherlands Not to Air Controversial Anti-Muslim Film

A senior Iranian lawmaker warned the Netherlands on Monday not to allow the screening of what it called an anti-Islamic film produced by Dutch politician, claiming it "reflects insulting views about the Holy Koran."

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, head of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, promised widespread protests and a review of Iran's relationship with the Netherlands if Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders' work is shown.

"If Holland will allow the broadcast of this movie, the Iranian parliament will request to reconsider our relationship with it," Boroujerdi said, according to IRNA, the official Iranian news agency. "In Iran, insulting Islam is a very sensitive matter and if the movie is broadcasted it will arouse a wave of popular hate that will be directed towards any government that insults Islam.

Wilders calls his 10-minute film "a call to shake off the creeping tyranny of Islamicization, " and said it could air as early as this week on Dutch television.

"People who watch the movie will see that the Koran is very much alive today, leading to the destruction of everything we in the Western world stand for, which is respect and tolerance," Wilders, the 41-year-old leader of the right-wing Party for Freedom, said last month in a telephone interview with FOXNews.com.

"The tsunami of Islamicization is coming to Europe. We should come to be far stronger."

First of all, Mr. Boroujerdi, fuck you. Second, if you take a long, slow look around you might notice that the Netherlands isn't in Iran, and as such neither the people of Holland nor I care what you might find offensive in your dusty little corner of the 12th century. Finally, in the Western world we believe in freedom of speech and expression, which means we can criticize any religion we want, any way we want, any time we want. So stick your complaints in your Mullah-hole and shut up.

Now on to our own housekeeping. It does appear that ol' Geert may have stepped off the right side of the political spectrum himself, having called for the Koran to be banned. Still it's his right to express such opinions without the threat of violent retribution. But here's a warning of my own for the radical Muslims in Europe: the Europeans are always only about one vote away from a pogrom, and it doesn't take much to push Europe down that slippery slope...

When a film-maker in a liberal Western country is shot, has his throat cut and then has a long manifesto pinned into his flesh with a knife in broad daylight, more people need to be concerned. Now it turns out that the murderer, who had completely blended into Dutch society, belonged to the same Islamist cult as Abu Musab al Zarqawi, the terrorist now at large in Iraq. However, even more interesting is the assertion that Takfir Wal Hijra apparently allows its members to appear non-radical, and even non-Islamic, if the mission requires it: 'The threat of Takfir is that its cold, heartless killers could easily be the boy or girl next door. Takfir Wal Hijra members are permitted to disregard the injunctions of Islamic law in order to blend into infidel societies. In other words, Takfirs can have sex with loose women, drink alcohol, eat pork and do whatever else they feel is appropriate to advance their mission.' That was also true of the murderers of 9/11. How conveeenient. The note - written in fluent, literate Dutch - is chilling. Here is part of its message. Remember that it was pinned into someone's flesh with a knife, and also threatened another person, Dutch parliamentarian, Ayaan Hirsi Ali:
