Haloscan is now JS-KIT and they're charging for their service. They're not worth it.

I've switched back to Blogger comments. They're really sufficient for this blog. FYI: I've archived all the comments from Haloscan, so all your wit and wisdom won't disappear into the ether.

U.S. History, December 25, 1776: Washington Crosses The Delaware

In 1776 General George Washington made a bold move: a surprise attack against the Hessian forces in Trenton, New Jersey. It was a success and marked a major victory over the British Empire by the upstart Continental rabble. It was also the first in a series of ass-kickings we've delivered to the Germans. Yay us!

Merry Christmas!

And the angel said unto them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. ~ Luke 2:10-11

The angel announced both Christ's birth and resurrection with the same admonition: don't be afraid.

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Christmas Eve...

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ~ Isaiah 7:14, 9:2, & 9:6

Lord It's Like A Hard Leftist Christmas...

White house Christmas tree decorated with Mao, Obama on Rushmore, and a transvestite
...the White House Christmas tree is decorated with bulbs sporting Mao Tse Tung, President Obama on Mount Rushmore and a transvestite. Odd choices for celebrating the birth of Christ in my opinion.
That's quite a troika. Hedda is mostly harmless... not apropos at all, but mostly harmless.

Obama on Rushmore? Well he belongs there right? He knows it, you know it.

But Mao? Oh Tannen-Mao? The man who killed 40 million people and began the persecution of the Church in China that continues to this day? The man who began the persecution of all religion in China that continues to this day? The man who began a holocaust of infanticide (abortion and the murder of little girls) that would make Herod blush? One would like to think even Mr. & Mrs. Barack Hussein Obama aren't that strident and knob-headedly unaware. But apparently one would be wrong.

This is the silly gent who designed the tree.

Let's Make A Deal... For Your Vote

Harkin: Dems Focused on Health Reform Big Picture
Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, responded Tuesday to widespread criticism that Democrats only garnered the 60 votes needed to defeat Republican stalling tactics on the health reform bill by catering to self-interest, saying Democrats are focusing on the big picture; "trying to cross a demarcation line."

Harkin dismissed deals dubbed vote-buying by GOP senators as "small stuff" that distracted Americans from the primary focus of the overhaul bill.
Just a piffle really. Hardly worth calling bribery. Just your normal run of the mill D.C. "you kiss my ass I'll kiss yours" wheeling and dealing. I'll take what's behind door number 3 Harry. Aw... I'm sorry Tom, it wasn't a new hospital or a lifetime supply of viagra... I'm afraid you've won a 2010 defeat, but we're also giving you - courtesy of Nancy Pelosi - a year's supply of...

You'll Feel A "Pinch" When The Needle Goes In. That's Called The "Point".

Missing The Point On Health Care Reform
If health care passes, but then gets repealed, the President wins. If health care passes, and Democrat Senators don’t get reelected, the President wins. If health care passes, and the House switches to Republican, the President wins. If more Americans are without health care, the President wins.

And Barack Obama thinks that when he wins, America wins. He IS the new America. He is wrong, but don’t anyone tell him that. Not that he’s listening anyway.

This bill is as empty as the President himself. It is meaningless, at this point. Everyone hates it and not because that’s what happens when big bills get passed. Everyone hates this bill because it’s the worst sort of American politics: selling out to special interests, increasing the scope and influence of government, individual mandates, covering the wrong procedures, increasing taxes, cutting care. It’s all in there. It’s vile. And still, all these “historic” provisions are meaningless because they’re all expendable. [...]

This health care bill will be a Democratic soul-killing, empty, symbolic victory and be the perfect symbolic show for the perfect symbolic President. He can say, “I won.”

And that’s the point of this bill.
Don't worry though, when they're through draining your wallet... they'll give you a cookie and some juice. But if you need to see a doctor... unfortunately there'll be bit a of wait.

Forget Congress... President Allen West...

Allen West for Congress

And yes, I believe our Republic and liberty is in danger. Not in a "doomsday tomorrow! run for your lives!" sort of way. The danger lies, rather, in giving up our birthright for a pot of stew and some bread.

Jimmy "The Dhimmi" Carter: Worst. President. Ever.

Jimmy Carter: Abuse of Women Including Genital Mutilation is the Fault of Catholics & Southern Baptists
In an address to a gathering sponsored by the World Parliament of Religions (PWR) last Friday, former US President Jimmy Carter has once again blamed traditional religion, particularly Southern Baptists and Roman Catholics, for “creating an environment where violations against women are justified.”
Says Gateway Pundit: Last I checked it was the Muslims who performed female genital mutilation. But, Jimmy Carter would never have the guts to single out Muslims like that.

Jimmah, you... are a doddering old fool.

Resisting terror is exhausting. It’s easier to appease it... ~ Mark Steyn

What signal does Barbie’s burka send?
The other day, George Jonas passed on to his readers a characteristically shrewd observation gleaned from the late poet George Faludy: “No one likes to think of himself as a coward,” wrote Jonas. “People prefer to think they end up yielding to what the terrorists demand, not because it’s safer or more convenient, but because it’s the right thing . . . Successful terrorism persuades the terrorized that if they do terror’s bidding, it’s not because they’re terrified but because they’re socially concerned.”

This is true. Resisting terror is exhausting. It’s easier to appease it, but, for the sake of your self-esteem, you have to tell yourself you’re appeasing it in the cause of some or other variant of “social justice.” Obviously, it’s unfortunate if “Canadians” get arrested for plotting to murder the artists and publishers of the Danish Muhammad cartoons, but that’s all the more reason to be even more accommodating of the various “sensitivities” arising from the pervasive Islamophobia throughout Western society. Etc. [...]

“And there’s no need for expensive accessories like books or cars or a life,” added Tim Blair of Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, “because Barbie in a Bag isn’t allowed to leave her home unless accompanied by a male relative (Mullah Ken, sold separately).”

Mullah Ken? I’m not so sure about that. Given the long-time rumours, Ken’ll be lucky not to find himself crushed under one of those walls the Taliban put up for their sodomite-rehabilitation program. You’ll be glad to know the dolls are anatomically accurate: Burka Barbie has no clitoris, and, just like Mohamed Atta on the morning of Sept. 11, Ken’s genital area is fully depilated.
Do you have to buy the Barbies in lots of 72 with a squad of jihadists from The Mattel Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice?

Oh Harry... Thanks For The Campaign Ad...

It takes a special kind of arrogance (and ignorance) for the democrat Senate majority leader to make this statement:
“You think you've heard these same excuses before?” Reid said during remarks on the floor of the Senate. “You're right. In this country there were those who dug in their heels and said, 'Slow down, it's too early. Let's wait. Things aren't bad enough' — about slavery.” ~ Harry Reid
He should know though, he is a member of the Democrat Party. You know them, they're the ones that "dug in their heels" about slavery; FOR it not to end it.

Considering his party fought to defend slavery, legislated Jim Crow laws, boasts the longest serving Senator... former sheet-wearing Klan leader Robert Byrd, and opposed the voting rights act (Senate vote count: Democrats: 47 against –17 for [73%-27%], the GOP was 94% in favor), I'd be a bit ashamed if I were good ol' Harry. The GOP should of course thank him, because you can't buy that kind of political advertising.
