Black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. says he's ready to move on from his arrest by a white police officer, hoping to use the encounter to improve fairness in the criminal justice system and saying "in the end, this is not about me at all."

Meaning... "I cried wolf! and nobody came..."

It's funny because Americans have no idea what a truly unfair and unjust criminal justice system is like. Ask Ri Hyon Ok of North Korea. Are there transgressions in our system? Yes. But they are the extreme exception.

New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D) apologizes for using N word

New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat, apologized Monday for using the N word in a recent interview while recounting a phone call she had received.

"I apologize for having repeated a word I find disgusting," Maloney said in a statement. "It's no excuse but I was so caught up in relaying the story exactly as it was told to me that, in doing so, I repeated a word that should never be repeated."

Maloney, who is challenging Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for the 2010 Democratic Senate nomination in New York, used the full racial slur in an interview with the Web site City Hall while taking aim at Gillibrand's record.

"I got a call from someone from Puerto Rico, said [Gillibrand] went to Puerto Rico and came out for English-only [education]. And he said, 'It was like saying n—r to a Puerto Rican,'" Maloney said. "I don't know-I don't know if that's true or not. I just called. I'm just throwing that out. All of her-well, what does she stand for?"

Fascinating isn't it?

Authorities Take Adolf Hitler, Young Sisters From Parents

Authorities in New Jersey removed 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell and his two young siblings from the care of their parents, according to a published report Tuesday.

The state's Division of Youth and Family Services took the boy, as well as his sisters -- JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 1, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, 9 months -- from Heath and Deborah Campbell, according to LehighValleyOnline.com.

The parents were scheduled to make a court visit Tuesday, but the appearance was postponed.

Holland Township Police Chief David van Gilson told LehighValleyOnline.com that he didn't know why the children were taken, but added that his office had not received any complaints of abuse.

The family made national headlines last year when a cakemaker refused to add the boy's name to a cake.

Not to defend these nimrods, but there better be a good reason for removing the children from their parents' custody. Otherwise the state is the one acting Nazi-ish.

Veteran Austrian television personality Klaus Emmerich has triggered a storm of criticism for his racist comments about Barack Obama, the US president-elect. [...]

...the respected US expert has stained his own report card with a string of blatantly racist remarks regarding the election of Barack Obama in the US. Speaking on a talk show on the Austrian public channel ORF on Wednesday, he said: "I wouldn't want the Western world to be directed by a black man. When you say that is a racist remark: right, without a doubt."

Americans are "racists, now as before, and it must be going very badly for them that they so convincingly ... send a black man, and a black, very good-looking woman, into the White House," he said.

Let's be clear about this once and for all. Obama's race is not an issue for the vast majority of Americans; his politics are. Oh boy, are his politics an issue.

We'd thank you not to speak disrespectfully of our President, Mr. Emmerich, and stop projecting Europe's flaws onto America. You may keep your ugly opinions to yourself, and kiss our collective asses - black and white and every shade in between.

Ignorant A--holes Perhaps?

Is "Black Hole" A Racially Insensitive Term?

A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.

County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections "has become a black hole" because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term.

So let me get this straight (oops! was that homophobic?) two elected officials in one of the largest metro areas in the nation don't know what the term "black hole" means when used as a figure of speech for things that disappear without a trace? Those two idiots should have to publicly apologize for their stupidity.

I heard a snippet on the radio about this faux controversy surrounding LeBron James and the cover of Vogue but not what the controversy was about. I finally saw the story and the cover on the news tonight and I literally didn't understand the problem until they were halfway through the story and explicitly stated why people were upset. Come on. No wonder Obama's having problems in a world where it seems like minorities - and I'll include gay people first among them! - are going out of their way to find offense.

A two-week FOX News investigation, however, has uncovered where Wright will be spending a good deal of his time in retirement, and it is a far cry from the impoverished Chicago streets where the preacher led his ministry for 36 years.

FOX News has uncovered documents that indicate Wright is about to move to a 10,340-square-foot, four-bedroom home in suburban Chicago, currently under construction in a gated community.

It doesn't look like whitey is keeping Jeremiah down, does it? A gated community? Why on earth does he feel the need to be behind gates, hmmm? I'll you why, because he doesn't want to hobnob with the people he panders to with his "social gospel" and black liberation rhetoric.

The Reverend Wright speaks to Italian voters...

Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago where Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has been a member for two decades, slurred Italians in a piece published in the most recent issue of Trumpet Newsmagazine.

"(Jesus') enemies had their opinion about Him," Wright wrote in a eulogy of the late scholar Asa Hilliard in the November/December 2007 issue. "The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans."

Wright continued, "From the circumstances surrounding Jesus' birth (in a barn in a township that was under the Apartheid Roman government that said his daddy had to be in), up to and including the circumstances surrounding Jesus' death on a cross, a Roman cross, public lynching Italian style. ...

"He refused to be defined by others and Dr. Asa Hilliard also refused to be defined by others. The government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse, from the Capitol to the Klan, white supremacy is clearly in charge, but Asa, like Jesus, refused to be defined by an oppressive government because Asa got his identity from an Omnipotent God."

Just keep playing that Trumpet, Reverend, the tune is sweet music...

He Has A Nightmare...

The result is a lowering of the bar for the next racial outburst, since the perpetrator will immediately resort to the Obama defenses.

That's what Victor Davis Hanson says that Obama's speech hath wrought; and he's "wright"...

I predict Obama has bequeathed to us a new lexicon, a novel way to explain away racist outbursts.

Obama has sanctified the doctrines of moral equivalence (the private racial slight is balanced by the televised public hatred; everyone has a pastor in some ways like Wright, etc.) and contextualization (you must understand Wright's context and background; the good that he does; the protocols of the black church, etc.). The result is a lowering of the bar for the next racial outburst, since the perpetrator will immediately resort to the Obama defenses. And since we now know that Obama heard some of these "controversial" Wright sermons and did not object, we can see that his earlier, once just condemnation of someone like Imus — like many of his initial defenses of Wright — may now be inoperative:

"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus. But I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude. ... He didn't just cross the line. He fed into some of the worst stereotypes that my two young daughters are having to deal with today in America. The notions that as young African-American women — who I hope will be athletes — that that somehow makes them less beautiful or less important. It was a degrading comment. It's one that I'm not interested in supporting." (October 2007)

The new sophistic Obama, however, would recount to us all the charity work and good that Imus had once done and still does, that we don't understand the joshing of the shock-jock radio genre that winks and nods at controversy in theatrical ways, that Imus was a legend and pioneer among talk show hosts, that Obama's own black relatives have on occasions expressed prejudicial statements about whites similar to what Imus does, that we all have our favorite talk shows, whose hosts occasionally cross the line, and that he can't quite remember whether he'd ever been on the Imus show, or whether he ever had heard Imus say anything that was insensitive — and therefore he could not and would not disown a Don Imus.

This is the real message of the Obama racial transcendence candidacy.

I've heard many people defending both the not so Rev. Wright and Trinity UCC on the grounds that they do so many good works. I call bullshit. Would those same people support or defend Pat Robertson or The Salvation Army because their ministries do good work? What about Hamas or Hezbollah? Motives aside it cannot be denied that those two terrorist organizations do provide charity for their communities. But at what price do these good works come? Maybe nothing monetary, but you can’t tell me the abhorrent theology of that church exists only in the pulpit; it must permeate everything they do and teach.

While I am absolutely certain that Obama is at heart a patriot who wishes nothing but the best for America, the pattern I see emerging is one that makes me wonder if what he thinks is best for America is what I think is best for America. Change is good, but not merely for change’s sake. And the fact that his core Christian belief system was nurtured by such a man as Rev. Wright only helps to call Obama’s values, judgment, and experience all into question.

Hypocrisy Alert!

Another Bus Attack Reported

Patrick Green and Robert Rothe told WBAL TV 11 News that they were antagonized and attacked after boarding the No. 64 bus late Monday night in south Baltimore.

The men, who are white, said the attackers yelled racial slurs and that no one on board, including the driver, stepped in to stop the attack. MTA surveillance cameras captured four men boarding the bus at the Hanover Street stop Monday night, moments before Green and Rothe got on.

Green and Rothe said they believe other passengers were afraid to help and that the driver refused to call for help.

"We were saying the whole time to the driver, 'You need to help us, call the police,'" Green told 11 News reporter Kerry Cavanaugh. "He said, 'I can't. I'll get in trouble.'"

Roth said the driver closed the door and drove away, even though the attack continued once they got off the bus.

Now imagine with me, if you will, that the attackers were white and the victims were black. This story would be front page news, on screen on the cable channels 24/7. Protests would already be organized. The heads of the MTA officials demanded on silver platters. Jesse Jackson would be hoarse from yelling, and Al Sharpton would have blisters on his feet from marching. Especially, especially, if the authorities had the audacity to say this: "MTA officials said they're not currently classifying the incident as a hate crime. They said they're simply calling it a common assault."
