Excuse Me? What Did You Say Achmed?

Excerpt: Sweden - Muslim community fears violence after attack on elderly couple.
An elderly couple was attacked last Monday when trying to park their car in the Swedish town of Landskrona.

The couple were trying to park, but another car was in their way. They honked and parked. But the young man (23) in the other car rolled down his window and asked why they honked. An altercation started. The young man became so upset, he threw the car door on the 71 year old man, Sven, who fell down. The young man then started beating the 71 year old.

The older man's 78 year old wife, Inger, tried to intervene, but was punched in the face and fainted.

The younger man fled in his car. The elderly couple were brought to the hospital. The 71 year was in shock and had injuries to his face and back. The 78 year old was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died of her injuries Wednesday.
I'm sorry? I don't think I heard that correctly? THEY fear violence? Can someone name me the last attack on an elderly Muslim couple parking their car? What about a Muslim cartoonist having his home invaded by an angry Christian or Jew wielding an axe because he was upset at a political cartoon? When was the last Muslim filmmaker stabbed to death in the street for making a movie critical of the Amish or Lutherans? Muslims constantly wail about their fear of backlash (over their OWN ACTS mind you) yet seem to be the only ones actually perpetrating the sort of violence they claim they're afraid of experiencing. Assholes.

Resisting terror is exhausting. It’s easier to appease it... ~ Mark Steyn

What signal does Barbie’s burka send?
The other day, George Jonas passed on to his readers a characteristically shrewd observation gleaned from the late poet George Faludy: “No one likes to think of himself as a coward,” wrote Jonas. “People prefer to think they end up yielding to what the terrorists demand, not because it’s safer or more convenient, but because it’s the right thing . . . Successful terrorism persuades the terrorized that if they do terror’s bidding, it’s not because they’re terrified but because they’re socially concerned.”

This is true. Resisting terror is exhausting. It’s easier to appease it, but, for the sake of your self-esteem, you have to tell yourself you’re appeasing it in the cause of some or other variant of “social justice.” Obviously, it’s unfortunate if “Canadians” get arrested for plotting to murder the artists and publishers of the Danish Muhammad cartoons, but that’s all the more reason to be even more accommodating of the various “sensitivities” arising from the pervasive Islamophobia throughout Western society. Etc. [...]

“And there’s no need for expensive accessories like books or cars or a life,” added Tim Blair of Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, “because Barbie in a Bag isn’t allowed to leave her home unless accompanied by a male relative (Mullah Ken, sold separately).”

Mullah Ken? I’m not so sure about that. Given the long-time rumours, Ken’ll be lucky not to find himself crushed under one of those walls the Taliban put up for their sodomite-rehabilitation program. You’ll be glad to know the dolls are anatomically accurate: Burka Barbie has no clitoris, and, just like Mohamed Atta on the morning of Sept. 11, Ken’s genital area is fully depilated.
Do you have to buy the Barbies in lots of 72 with a squad of jihadists from The Mattel Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice?

Are These The Moderate Muslims?

Revealed: Saudi Women Preaching Hate In The British Mosque That Promised To Clean Up Its Act 18 Months Ago
Hardline female ‘preachers of hate’ are radicalising Muslim women at one of Britain’s top mosques.

The Saudi Arabian preachers were secretly filmed ordering women to murder gays and ex-Muslims.

Undercover reporters from Channel 4’s Dispatches recorded the lectures in the women’s section of Regent’s Park Mosque in London.

An unnamed Saudi woman is seen mocking other religions – labelling Christianity ‘vile’ and an ‘abomination’. Another, known as ‘Angelique’, claims Britain is a ‘land of evil’.

The investigators attended lectures for two months at the mosque, which had promised a clean-up after another Dispatches probe just 18 months ago exposed it for spreading extreme Islamic views.

During one sermon, a woman called Um Amira says: ‘He is Muslim, and he gets out of Islam...what are we going to do? We kill him, kill, kill.’

In the programme, to be screened tomorrow, she adds that women adulterers should be stoned to death and people who have sex before marriage should get ‘100 lashes’.

Regent’s Park Mosque is one of the biggest and most prestigious Islamic institutions in the UK. Opened in 1944 by King George VI, it can hold up to 5,000 worshippers.
What a lovely religion.

How Exactly Do They Tell?

Guantánamo Drives Prisoners Insane, Lawyers Say
Next month, Salim Ahmed Hamdan, a Yemeni who was once a driver for Osama bin Laden, could become the first detainee to be tried for war crimes in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. By now, he should be busily working on his defense.

But his lawyers say he cannot. They say Hamdan, already the subject of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, has essentially been driven insane by solitary confinement in a tiny cell where he spends at least 22 hours a day, goes to the bathroom and eats all his meals. His defense team says he is suicidal, hears voices, has flashbacks, talks to himself and says the restrictions of Guantánamo "boil his mind."

"He will shout at us," said his military defense lawyer, Lieutenant Commander Brian Mizer. "He will bang his fists on the table."

His lawyers have asked a military judge to stop his case until Hamdan is placed in less restrictive conditions at Guantánamo, saying he cannot get a fair trial if he cannot focus on defending himself. The judge is to hear arguments as soon as Monday on whether he has the power to consider the claim.

Critics have long asserted that Guantánamo's climate-controlled isolation is a breeding ground for insanity. But turning that into a legal claim marks a new stage for the military commissions at Guantánamo. As military prosecutors push to get trials under way, they are being met with challenges not just to the charges, but to Guantánamo itself.
These are people who believe their god wants them to blow up women and children and fly planes into skyscrapers. Their minds were "boiled" long before they got to Gitmo.

Spanish Discover Withdrawal Method Is Not Effective

14 Terror Suspects Arrested May Have Planned Barcelona Attack
Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba said more arrests were expected and the country was on high security alert.

The arrests in Barcelona were prompted by information from several unspecified European intelligence agencies, and there was evidence the suspects — 12 Pakistani nationals and two people from India — could have been planning "a terrorist action" in the northern city, he told a news conference. [. . .]

Europe's worst Islamic-linked terror attack took place in Spain on March 11, 2004, when bombs went off in railway carriages during the morning rush hour near Madrid's Atocha station. The attack killed 191 people injured more than 1,800.
This news sort of dispels the odd notion that swayed Spanish voters in 2004. The one that says "if we just leave them alone, they'll leave us alone." Ron Paul, and most other Democrats, suffer from the same delusion.

Take a lesson from this everyone: We. Are. At. War. Islamofascists just plain hate the West. They hated it before Iraq and they still hate it now. I wonder if maybe, just maybe they want to destroy us because they realize what we Westerners are having trouble grasping: this is a life or death struggle of cultures and civilizations, pitting freedom against tyranny.

Spain Continues Kow-towing To The Islamofascists

21 Guilty In 2004 Madrid Train Bombings
Twenty-one of 28 defendants were found guilty on Wednesday in the 2004 Madrid train bombings, but another accused ringleader was acquitted in connection with Europe's worst Islamic terror attack.

Judge Javier Gomez Bermudez read the verdicts in a quiet courtroom, with heavy security, including bomb-sniffing dogs and police helicopters, outside. The backpack bomb attacks killed 191 people and wounded more than 1,800 on March 11, 2004.

Three lead suspects were each handed sentences that stretched into the thousands of years, but Rabei Osman, an Egyptian accused of helping orchestrate the attacks, was acquitted. Osman, who is in jail in Italy, had allegedly bragged in a wiretapped phone conversation that the massacre was his idea.

Seven other suspects were also acquitted on all charges. Fourteen other people were found guilty of lesser charges such as belonging to a terrorist group.
Thank you Spain, for putting murderous jihadists back on the street. The world is grateful...not! Oh, and just to remind you what the bastards that walked free had a hand in, watch this video.

You Bet It's Sacred

Ahmadinejad did want to desecrate the World Trade Center site. As if there were any doubt about that...
"I decided to visit there this year to pay my respect to the casualties and convey my sympathy to the families," Ahmadinejad said.

"I also wanted to raise several questions and express my views. I wanted to say that in my opinion, this incident is the result of the mismanagement of the world, and the result of the inhuman management of the world. Why did such an incident take place? We need to get to the root causes," he said.

Iran's president said, "We don't want them to turn this incident, in 20 years' time, into another false idol like the Holocaust, which they would use as a pretext to kill peoples, and to prevent anybody from opening this box and examining what really happened in this incident.

He continued, "They might turn 9/11 into something sacred, and whoever does not accept it would be considered an infidel, whereas whoever accepts it would have to accept all the ensuing crimes.

"In any event, we must express our views. I believe that this way, we would have formed cordial relations with the American people, and could have opened this issue up for discussion. Well, this is exactly what they want to prevent," he said.
Root causes...ha...

Is That A Threat?

Muslims tell Christians: Make Peace With Us Or Survival Of World Is At Stake
Prominent Muslim scholars are warning that the "survival of the world" is at stake if Muslims and Christians do not make peace with each other. [...]

Together they (Muslims and Christians) make up more than 55 per cent of the population, making the relationship between these two religious communities the most important factor in contributing to meaningful peace around the world. If Muslims and Christians are not at peace, the world cannot be at peace. [...]
Let's see: "peace or else..." Yep it sounds like a threat. Remember Muslims believe that the "peace" in the religion of peace will come when it's the only religion...

Another One Bites The Dust...

Senior Al Qaeda In Iraq Leader Killed By U.S. Forces
WASHINGTON — U.S.-led forces have killed one of the most important leaders of Al Qaeda in Iraq, a Tunisian believed connected to the kidnapping and killings last summer of American soldiers, a top commander said Friday.

Brig. Gen. Joseph Anderson said the death of the terrorist in a U.S. airstrike Tuesday south of Baghdad, and recent similar operations against Al Qaeda, have left the organization in Iraq fractured.

"Abu Usama al-Tunisi was one of the most senior leaders ... the emir of foreign terrorists in Iraq and part of the inner leadership circle," Anderson said.
Good, good news. Now go get some more of the bastards!

Terrorists Agree With Rosie O'Donnell

Oh, Rosie! Terrorists Invite Her To Mideast
Muslim jihadist leaders interviewed for a new book were ecstatic about statements from television talk host Rosie O'Donnell about the war in Iraq and the global war on terror, agreeing with her outspoken views.

Some even invited her on a "fact finding mission" to the Middle East.

"I agree with what this O'Donnell says. ...We welcome Rosie O'Donnell to stay among us and to get to know the truth from being here, like many American peace activists are doing," said Ala Senakreh, West Bank chief of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist organization.
Think she'll take him up on it? Think she'll take her kids and lesbian life partner? Think the stonings will be televised? Another celebrity used by the terrorists and petty and cruel dictators to undermine their own country and the principles of freedom they claim to cherish but don't understand in the least.

Thanks to Shawmut for sending me the link to this story.

Live Blogging Ahmadinejad's Appearance At Columbia

QC: Due to my poor typing skills, this will not, of course, be a word for word transcript of what is said. I'll try and link to one after this circus is done.

Selected quotes from Ahmadinejad's address at Columbia, via Breitbart

1:50pm: The president of Columbia, Lee Bollinger, is telling us why the university had to allow Ahmadinejad to speak.

1:53pm: Bollinger is reprimanding the president for the imprisoning of academics, the execution of children, and public executions in general.

1:55pm: Bollinger certainly isn't mincing words, I'll give him that. Bollinger said the university hadn't been shy about protesting the U.S. government and wouldn't be shy about criticizing him. Then he called Ahmadinejad "a petty and cruel dictator."

Bollinger called him ridiculous and astonishingly uneducated for denying the Holocaust. He is now taking Ahmadinejad to task for calling for the destruction of Israel. Reminding Ahmadinejad that Columbia is a center for Jewish studies, he asked "do you intend to wipe us off the map too?"

QC: Let me answer that one Mr. Bollinger... Yes, if he could, he would.

Bollinger said he doesn't expect Ahmadinejad to answer any of these hard questions and that will weaken him back home in Iran.

QC: This isn't so much an intro as a pimp slap. Kudos to President Bollinger. And here comes the Nut Ball. Ahmadinejad is complaining about the "political statements" against him as a sign of disrespect. Blah blah blah. Of course some students with pudding for brains are applauding him for that. Ahmadinejad says he should have been allowed to speak first, and that Bollinger took some of "his" time alloted to speak. Many of Bollinger's claims were "incorrect" apparently. Academics and religious scholars "shine light" he says. Oh God, he's starting with the story of Adam...this is gonna take a while... Koran quotes, Koran quotes, Koran quotes... Booorrring... Billy Graham he ain't... I can only assume something is being lost in the translation... Ah ha... I think I see where he's going... We misuse science and education to deny reality... in other words Islam and to deceive people... in other words Muslims. And here it comes, we are being controlled by our government through fear and used to fight against foreign cultures. Why didn't he just say so?

Ahmadinejad: The "Big Powers" are denying other nations progress [QC: In other words nukes]. Science [QC: In other words nukes] is God's gift to all nations.

QC: Ahmadinejad reminds us he is an "academic" too and didn't receive respect from other academic groups, just insults. Now he's off on the 60 years of oppression of the Palestinian people. 60 freakin' years, we get it, we get it...

Ahmadinejad asks two questions:

1) If the holocaust happened, why can we not approach the subject from different academic perspectives? Why should the Palestinian people pay the price of an event they had nothing to do with? If the Holocaust happened it happened in Europe.

2) Iran is a member of the IAEA, and the bylaws state all member states have the right to peaceful nuclear technology, why can we not have it? [QC: In other words we want nukes] The IAEA has reported no illegal research and we let them inspect our facilities. And something about spare aircraft parts? [QC: I'm not sure he understands what a "question" is... Statements though, he's got that down pat.]

The Q&A Session...

Question 1: Do you or your government seek the destruction of Israel as the Jewish state?

Answer 1: We love all nations and many Jews live in Iran in peace and security. Jews are represented in the Iranian parliament. To solve the Palestinian problem the Palestinians (of all faiths) must have self determination. [QC: He didn't answer the question, and is being asked to clarify... yes or no.] We recognize there's a 60 year problem. Let there be a referendum. [QC: He still didn't answer the question.]

Question 2: Why is your country aiding terrorists? Will you stop?

Answer 2: If someone comes and explodes bombs around you, how would you treat them? Would you reward them or name them a terrorist group? You would call them a terrorist group. Iran is a victim of terrorism. [QC: WTF?] The U.S. government is supporting terrorists that have attacked the Iranian government. [QC: Who are these dumbfuck students applauding his answers?]

Question 3: Since the Holocaust has been well documented, why is more research needed?

Answer 3: Can you argue that research of historical events ever done? Why should we ever stop progress and research?

Question 4: Iranian women and homosexuals are denied basic rights, and subject to persecution. Why?

Answer 4: Iranian freedom is true freedom. Women enjoy great freedom. They serve in government and science. It is wrong for one government to spread lies about another government.

As for the executions. If someone establishes a network for illicit drugs would you reward them? Don't you have capital punishment in the U.S. In Iran too, there is capital punishment for drug traffickers, murderers, kidnappers. Iran has laws. [QC: lot's about drugs, not much about the mo's] We don't have homosexuals in Iran like in your country. We do not have this phenomena. [QC: There you have it. No homosexuals in Iran. Uh, yeah. This man is a fruit cake.] As for women are respected more than men, they are exempt for many legal responsibilities as a sign of respect.

Question 5: What did you hope to accomplish by visiting the World Trade Center site?

Answer 5: You invited me as a guest to Columbia. In Iran we respect guests. I wanted to visit the WTC site last year but our plans would not allow. I wanted to visit this year, but regretfully some groups objected. It's sad, to not allow someone to show respect for the families affected by the tragedy. September 11 was a huge event, it lead to the occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq. It lead to fear in our region. The root causes of September 11 should be studied, who was really involved, in order to fix the tensions in the middle east.

Question 6: Will you stop seeking nuclear weapons.

Answer 6: Our nuclear program is lawful and is completely peaceful.

Question 7: Will Iran open talks with the U.S. government?

Answer 7: From the start we have announced we are ready to talk will all nations. Since 28 years ago when we overthrew the Shah's government, we have wanted friendly relationships. EXCEPT for the old South African government and the current Zionist entity.

QC: The rest is just "niceties" such as thanks for inviting him to speak and inviting the students and faculty of Columbia to visit Iran. Blah, blah, blah... Ahmadinejad rambled and fumbled incoherently for most of his speaking time. It was not surprising that he dodged the hard questions he was asked. I think President Lee Bollinger did an excellent job of taking the wind out of Ahmadinejad's sails before he even got started. While we heard nothing new from Ahmadinejad, I think the Free World got a very clear idea of his evil and addle brained ideology. Question though? What will the people in Iran get to hear? Will they hear President Bollinger taking Ahmadinejad to task, or just the rambling and the applause for him from the pudding headed students and faculty in the audience?

Speaking Of Islamo-Fascists...

Columbia University says no to the ROTC, and FU to the Minutemen, but yes to a Holocaust Denier, terrorist funder, and taker of American hostages. Yeah - that sounds about right for a typical Ivy League U.

Now, honestly, I have no problem with Columbia letting Ahmadinejad speak. But how dare they make any claim that it's in the interest of academic freedom, or presenting alternative viewpoints, when Columbia and its students actively lock out or shout down anyone they disagree with on a regular basis.
