Merry Christmas!

And the angel said unto them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. ~ Luke 2:10-11

The angel announced both Christ's birth and resurrection with the same admonition: don't be afraid.

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Christmas Eve...

Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ~ Isaiah 7:14, 9:2, & 9:6

Lord It's Like A Hard Leftist Christmas...

White house Christmas tree decorated with Mao, Obama on Rushmore, and a transvestite
...the White House Christmas tree is decorated with bulbs sporting Mao Tse Tung, President Obama on Mount Rushmore and a transvestite. Odd choices for celebrating the birth of Christ in my opinion.
That's quite a troika. Hedda is mostly harmless... not apropos at all, but mostly harmless.

Obama on Rushmore? Well he belongs there right? He knows it, you know it.

But Mao? Oh Tannen-Mao? The man who killed 40 million people and began the persecution of the Church in China that continues to this day? The man who began the persecution of all religion in China that continues to this day? The man who began a holocaust of infanticide (abortion and the murder of little girls) that would make Herod blush? One would like to think even Mr. & Mrs. Barack Hussein Obama aren't that strident and knob-headedly unaware. But apparently one would be wrong.

This is the silly gent who designed the tree.

Christmas! Eeeeek!

The following nine Democratic congressmen all voted "no" on a simple resolution to honor Christmas. They had no qualms about voting to honor the Islamic holiday of Ramadan (one of them missed that vote - so maybe he's just a slacker in general), or the Hindu holiday Diwali. Nope, only Christmas is deemed unhonorable by these nine representatives of the American people.

If any of them were my representatives I'd be curious to know what it is about my religion that makes it unworthy of a congressional resolution to honor it. If you'd like to ask them - contact info is provided:
Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY)

Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY)

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO)

Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL)

Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA)

Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA)

Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA)

Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA)

Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA)
Why don't y'all give'm a little ringgy-dinggy on the phone and ask.

"Christmas" Verbotten At Sears & Kmart

Thank you Tammy Bruce and Liberty Counsel for letting me know that the three Christmas generic non-specific religious day of observance gifts that I purchased at Kmart may have inadvertently brought great offense to their employees and other customers of different religions. Vincent V., a representative from Sears Holdings Corporation, explains their decision:
The reason for our use of holiday tree is due to the [sic] Sears Holding is a very diverse company, we do not want to offend any of our associates, but also our valued customers. We decided to call them holiday trees because even if Christians are the only religion that uses a Christmas tree we still do not want complaints from other customers of different religions complaining about our use of Christmas.
They weren't big gifts, two were really just stocking stuffers, but God Allah Buddha whatever! knows I don't want to offend anyone, so I will be returning them tomorrow with my apologies.

I would urge y'all to do the same, and to contact Sears Holdings Corporation at (847) 286-2500 to let them know you won't be bringing any offense (or money) to them this CHRISTMAS!

Update: My letter to the CEO of Sears Holding Corporation
To: Mr. Aylwin B. Lewis, CEO, Sears Holding Corporation

Via: eMail and Fax

Dear Mr. Lewis,

I am writing to express my deepest apologies to you and your company. It was with great regret that I learned that I had brought offense to the employees and my fellow customers when I recently shopped at my local Kmart for Christmas gifts. That was surely not my intention.

I was heartbroken at my faux pas when I read the following statement by "Vincent V." a representative of Sears Holding Corporation:

"The reason for our use of holiday tree is due to the [sic] Sears Holding is a very diverse company, we do not want to offend any of our associates, but also our valued customers. We decided to call them holiday trees because even if Christians are the only religion that uses a Christmas tree we still do not want complaints from other customers of different religions complaining about our use of Christmas."

I recently purchased three gifts at Kmart. Not big ones mind you, two were really just stocking stuffers. I hope that mitigates the offense I have caused! But just in case, I will be returning those gifts first thing tomorrow morning along with my sincere written apologies to the manager of the store and its employees.

Please be assured that I will bring no more of my offensive "holiday" purchasing power to any of your stores.

I look forward to your acceptance of my apology.

Merry Christmas! (oops!)

Kevin
