What Happened To "Provide For The Common Defense?"

Mexico Invades The United States... Again:
A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.
This is an act of war right? The Mexican military taking an officer of the United States federal government hostage after violating our territory does count as an invasion doesn't it?

I'm telling you our corrupt, third world "neighbor" to the south is leaving us no other choice but to secure our border by force. We should occupy about 1 mile of Mexican territory south of our border and build the fence and a "no man's land" there, and also remind them that if they've grown fond of Veracruz or Guadalajara they may want to back the fuck off and get their house in order.

Bob Barr Challenges Obama's Illegal Alien Healthcare Plan

Huh! How about that? A presidential candidate who actually disagrees with his opponents and draws distinctions between said opponent and himself! You know, actual campaigning!

Libertarian Presidential candidate Bob Barr challenges Obama's plan to make you foot the bill for 12 million illegal aliens' healthcare costs:
“Neither Sen. Barack Obama nor Sen. John McCain wants to talk about immigration, but the system is broken,” says Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate for president. “Unfortunately, neither of them wants to take the tough steps necessary to secure America’s borders and institute a realistic policy to cut illegal immigration.”

An example of the problem is Sen. Obama’s oft-stated promise to “give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage.” Of course, “Sen. Obama doesn’t plan on giving them coverage. He plans on making the taxpayers give them coverage. There’s a big difference,” notes Barr.

But there’s an even more fundamental issue. Approximately one-quarter of those persons who are uninsured are in America illegally. “It’s not fair to expect U.S. taxpayers to pay for health insurance for the citizens of another nation. America’s bloated welfare state is expensive enough, and even after recent reforms it still creates a disincentive to work. Handing out insurance to people who have come to America illegally will encourage even greater illegal immigration,” Barr explains. “And that, in turn, will push up government health care expenditures, creating a vicious cycle of more and more spending and more and more illegal immigration.”

“Instead of increasing the reward for violating the law and America’s borders, the federal government should move in the other direction. It must stop requiring hospital emergency rooms to provide free care for illegal aliens and the courts must stop forcing states to provide free schooling for the children of illegal aliens. This means changing the law and perhaps even the Constitution, but until we do so the government will continue to create a taxpayer-funded draw for illegal immigration,” says Barr.
Barr then lays out some common sense actions that need to be taken to deal with our illegal immigration problem:
  • Secure the border.
  • Adopt a constitutional amendment to ensure that the children of those here illegally do not automatically become citizens. (could we make it retroactive to people born in the Panama Canal Zone? - QC)
  • Emphasize economic productivity over family ties to bring in more highly skilled legal immigrants.
  • Stop paying people to come here illegally: no more free health care, no more free education, and certainly no free health insurance.
I'm glad someone besides Obama wants to win this election! I wonder what John McCain thinks... rather, I wonder what Juan Hernandez thinks John McCain should think about this issue?

San Francisco Has Blood On Its Hands

The City by the Bay and its liberal politics has lead to the murder of three Americans at the hands of an illegal immigrant: Killings Turn Focus On San Francisco Sanctuary Law
The scene repeats itself daily on city streets: a driver gets stuck bumper to bumper, blocking an intersection and preventing another car from turning left.

But authorities say that was enough to cause Edwin Ramos to unload an AK-47 assault weapon on a man and his two sons, killing them.

The deaths immediately drew public outrage, which intensified when authorities revealed that Ramos, 21, is an illegal immigrant who managed to avoid deportation despite previous brushes with the law.

The case has put San Francisco's liberal politics to the test, setting off a debate over its sanctuary law that shields undocumented immigrants from deportation.

On Wednesday, Ramos pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder in the deaths of Anthony Bologna, 49, and his sons, Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16. Bologna and his older son died in the intersection on June 22. His younger son succumbed to his injuries days later.
Mayor Newsom, the city council, and everyone who helped enact or supports San Francisco's City of Refuge Ordinance are guilty of murder just as surely as Edwin Ramos is. Mrs. Bologna asks a question that should make all of us stop and think: "If my family wasn’t safe, what makes you think yours will be?" Oh, and remember to ask yourself that question the next time you hear John McCain double-talking about his DREAM to help make it easier for people like Ramos to stay in this country.

McCain: F-ck The Ones Who Did It The Right Way!

Via Kausfiles:
Here’s NPR’s Mara Liasson, covering the candidates’ appearance before Last Week’s Latino Group: Both these candidates are for the same thing: a path to citizenship–that doesn’t reward people who come in illegally–but McCain did change his emphasis …

Liasson is being very careful not to overemphasize or underemphasize the difference between the candidates. She doesn’t exhibit any tilt toward Obama or toward McCain. It’s all exquisitely fair–except that she almost unconsciously embeds a bit of ludicrous BS that is common to both candidates: the idea that their legalization plans wouldn’t “reward people who come in illegally.” Of course they would. When you hear the candidates talk about sending illegals to the “back of the line,” remember that there are two lines: 1) An initial, typically very long line in which foreigners patiently wait years, sometimes decades, to get green cards that enable them to live here legally, and 2) a shorter second line of people who have green cards and want to become citizens. Neither Obama nor McCain would send illegals to the back of the first line–that would, in many cases, be tantamount to deporting them. On the contrary, the illegals who are already here get to pay a not-huge fine and skip Queue #1 entirely. They may go to the back of Queue #2, but that’s a queue they can wait out while working legally in the richest country on Earth–a reward the poor suckers who obeyed the law and are still lining up outside U.S. consulates abroad don’t get. …

What's The Difference Here?

McCain Tells Hispanic Group Of His Commitment To Immigration Reform

Barack Obama: Your Children Should Learn To Speak Spanish

Yes, McCain says he will secure the borders first, but the only way to find out if that's true is to trust him. And I don't trust him. Whoever is elected, you better brush up on your Español.

We're going to have to listen to more of this bullsh-t later this week as both candidates pander to The Race.

Michelle is taking the La Raza Twins to task for their idiocy. Numbers USA points out where the candidates stand on giving away our country.

¡Feliz Cuatro de Julio!

Juan McCain shoots the shit with his amigo, Felipe Calderon.

I'm sure they're just swapping traditional Mexican recipes, not plotting - I mean planning - how to shove their open borders nonsense down our throats once Juan settles into La Casa Blanca. What's that? Juan said he "get's it" now? No amnesty? Tell me you're not that naive.

Congress Get's Serious About Border Security

Oh, not ours. Silly you for thinking that, heh heh!

Via Michelle Malkin
Good news: House passes $1.6 billion border security, crime-fighting package…

Bad news: It’s not for America, but for Mexico and Central America.
And what we are we doing this year? Sending two of the jackasses most in favor of stupid crap like this back to Washington. Lindsey Graham-McCain to the Senate and Juan "F--- You" McCain to the White House.

My Second Vote Of Conscience* In The 2008 Election Cycle

I voted against Lindsey Graham-McCain in the GOP primary for U.S. Senate. It felt so good to say: no, you shut up Lindsey.

Michelle Malkin has more on the amnesty loving "Maverick, Jr." here and here.

*My first vote of conscience was for Fred Thompson in the primary election rather than giving in to the "McCain is inevitable" argument.

I Hate To Say I Told You So...

No, that's not true. I LOVE to say I told you so, and I TOLD YOU SO! McCain lied to us my friends, about his stance on immigration reform. He mavericked the crap outta the truth and then went right back to his same old same old. I just can't believe he was brazen enough to do it so soon. I was expecting it to happen after the convention. I'm not the only blogger calling Senator F. U. on it.

John Hawkins, author of those famous articles "Why You're Going To Vote For John McCain In November And Like It!" and "There's Nothing Conservative Or Principled About Helping A Democrat Beat John McCain In November," has now jumped from the moving Straight Talk Express and shoulder rolled back into reality.
Put very simply: John McCain is a liar. He’s a man without honor, without integrity, who could not have captured the Republican nomination had he run on making comprehensive immigration a top priority of his administration. Quite frankly, this is little different from George Bush, Sr. breaking his “Read my lips, no new taxes pledge,” except that Bush’s father was at least smart enough to wait until he got elected before letting all of his supporters know that he was lying to them.
You can read his whys and wherefores in "Why I will No Longer Support John McCain For President." The gist of it though is that McCain lied and is not trustworthy. More from John here including this gem:
In this case, being lied to and disrespected in this fashion is a dealbreaker for me and I'm not voting for McCain over it. Other people may look at the alternative and quite understandably choose to vote for McCain. I understand their position, but very respectfully disagree.

Additionally, some people have pointed out that refusing to vote for McCain actually helps the Democratic nominee and that whether it's Obama or Clinton, the country would be better off with McCain.

That's very true.

But personally, I think that there has got to be some kind of line in the sand that these politicians cannot be allowed to cross. In McCain's case, he lied about the single most important issue in determining many people's votes, is the Republican Party's nominee only because he told that lie, and now he has publicly shifted positions in a way that reveals he was lying the whole time -- and he did so before the election. Here's a man who has so little respect for conservatives that he doesn't even feel compelled to wait until he's elected to reveal that he wasn't telling them the truth about an issue they care desperately about.
He's not alone:
  • Michelle says McCain didn't get the message.

McCain Apparently Doesn't Get It After All

He lied. That's the only conclusion I can draw. When asked about his amnesty proposal while he was in South Carolina, McCain said "I got the message", and "We will secure the borders first and then go on to other issues". Now he's right back to where he started. I told you, he doesn't give a shit what you think. He's going to do what he wants to do and "f*ck you" if you don't like it. Still think you're going to get those conservative Supreme Court nominees from the Maverick?

Imagine...Criminals Acting Like Criminals...

Six Illegal Immigrants Arrested At Qualcomm
Six undocumented Mexican immigrants were arrested today by U.S. Border Patrol agents at Qualcomm Stadium, after a report that they were stealing food and water meant for evacuees, according to spokesman Damon Foreman.

San Diego police responded to a call about alleged theft from the evacuation center and encountered six people in a van who didn't speak English and didn't have California driver's licenses, Foreman said. The police officers called the Border Patrol, who arrived at the stadium and made the arrests, he said. Foreman said the immigrants admitted they were Mexican citizens and that they were stealing.
While the story itself isn't surprising, there are two amazing things to be gleaned from it.

First, that the LA Times actually used the word "illegal" to describe these criminals, even though they stumbled back to P.C. land in the story and called them "undocumented Mexican immigrants". Hey, I
guess they were just stealing the supplies that Americans didn't want to steal.

Second, the outrageous statement by our so-called "Border Patrol" that they "...are not in any means at Qualcomm for enforcement capacity..." No wonder we're being overrun by the third world hordes, we're all but escorting them into the country.

Fences? You Don't Need No Steeenking Fences!

Mexican Leader Critiques U.S. Border Fence
Mexican President Felipe Calderon criticized the planned U.S. border fence designed to stem illegal immigration, saying countries should be "building bridges, not fences" in an interview broadcast on Monday.

On ABC television's "Good Morning America," Calderon lauded President George W. Bush's failed attempt to get the U.S. Congress to approve comprehensive immigration reform, and said the way to stop illegal immigration is to build economic growth and opportunities in Mexico, not fences.

"The world is open in new ways," he said. "We are building fences instead of bridges."

The U.S. Congress last year authorized construction of 700 miles of fences along portions of the border, although it has not yet given final approval to all construction costs.
And we should care what Calderon thinks because...? He would do better to spend his time and energy reforming his third world hell hole of a nation, rather than criticizing his neighbors.

Nancy Pelosi Opposes Fence To Secure U.S. - Mexico Border

Pelosi Criticizes Border Fence
"I have been against the fence, I thought it's a bad idea even when it was just a matter of discussion," said Pelosi, D-Calif. "These are communities where you have a border going through them, they are not communities where you have a fence splitting them."
What does that mean folks? That means she sees no border, just millions and millions of potential Democratic voters. Screw U.S. sovereignty, tear down the border barriers and let the hordes come and go as they please.

Another American Murdered By An Illegal Alien

This story made me sick to my stomach. Officer Nick Erfle was 31 and the father of two children. He was killed in cold blood by illegal alien Erik Martinez.
Phoenix police Officer Nick Erfle survived two bouts of cancer to put back on his uniform and patrol the city's streets.

On Tuesday, a jaywalker shot him in the face and killed him.

The gunman, an illegal immigrant who had been deported last year, fled after shooting Erfle, commandeering a stopped car at gunpoint and ordering the motorist to drive. About an hour later, a Phoenix police tactical team surrounded Erik Jovani Martinez, 22, on a west Phoenix street and shot him dead as he pointed a gun at the hostage. The hostage was not hurt.
Martinez, a gang member, had been deported in March 2006 but due to our lax border enforcement was able to sneak back into our country. How many of us have to be killed before our open borders president and "mavericks" in congress like John McCain will do something serious to stop them?

As Moonbattery reports: "At least there's a happy ending: Martinez was shot dead an hour later..."

Watch Out

The Bush administration can proceed with a plan to open the U.S. border to long haul Mexican trucks as early as next week after an appeals court rejected a bid by labor, consumer and environmental interests to block the initiative. [...]

Mexican trucks operating in the United States have for years been restricted to U.S. points near certain large border crossings where their goods are transferred to trucks owned by U.S. firms. [...]

Trucking regulators said in a court filing the goal is to gradually accommodate 100 Mexican trucking companies by the end of the pilot program, or roughly 540 large trucks.

But opponents said those figures do not reflect the number of companies that could seek access to U.S. roads if the pilot is successful, which they said raises safety concerns.

"This (pilot) program is basically a show trial. They haven't provided notice up front about who will participate. You just don't know what the program will look like," said Bonnie Robin-Vergeer, attorney for Public Citizen.
Does anyone think this is a good idea, besides our "open borders" President?

Illegal Immigration Is Killing Us

Muslim terrorists plotting to blow us up (but we won't stop them because it might be racist to describe what they look like), China slowly poisoning us (and buying us), and illegal immigrants lining us up against walls and executing us after molesting our children (not to worry though, they're replacing our damaged children with thousands of their own. Who says they don't contribute to society? They're making the citizens Americans don't want to make).

Focusing on the physically nearest problem, our amigos sin documentos, Ann Coulter lists out some of the criminals living illegal in our country and the crimes they have committed against American citizens (you know, you and me):
Admittedly, I'd just as soon have Homeland Security focusing on illegal immigrants like the one who shot four promising college kids execution style in Newark, killing three of them, possibly after sexually molesting two of them. Heck, I wouldn't have minded if they had deported Jose Carranza even before his girlfriend accused him of raping her 5-year-old daughter.

Or Ruben Hernandez-Juarez, an illegal alien charged with sexually molesting a 6-year-old boy in Martin County, Fla.

Or Alejandro Bautista, an illegal alien in Cook County, Ill., who was convicted for sexually molesting two teenaged boys.

Or Alejandro Xuya-Sian, the illegal alien who hit a pedestrian with his car in New York and dragged him for nearly a mile before dislodging the victim from his car, throwing him aside and driving off again. (Even more disturbing: Xuya-Sian may not have been wearing his seat belt at the time.)

Or illegal alien Alberto Barajas-Enriquez, who is charged with beating his Michigan neighbor to death with a golf club because the neighbor complained about the constant barking of Enriquez's dog. Asked by police how many times he struck his victim with the golf club, Enriquez said, "Let's see ... five, six ... uh, put me down for a seven."

Or Lucio Sanchez-Martinez, the illegal alien in Ohio charged with sexually molesting a sleeping 8-year-old girl.

For simplicity, I have limited my enumeration of illegal aliens I would like deported to those who were charged or convicted of heinous crimes last week. For illegal aliens charged with child molestation, I had to limit it to two days last week.
What the hell is wrong with us? When are we going to start putting our own well-being first?
