Beggars Can't Be Prosecutors

10 Americans in Haiti Charged With Child Kidnapping
A Haitian attorney says 10 Americans detained in Haiti for trying to take 33 children out of the country after the Jan. 12 earthquake have been charged with child kidnapping.

Edwin Coq says the Americans also are charged with criminal association. The 10 appeared in court Thursday and were whisked away to a jail in Haiti's capital of Port-au-Prince.

Coq attended the session and has represented the group here.
Oh my. It seems we've misplaced some of those foreign aid checks with all the zeros on them. Perhaps some more reasonable charges would help us find them...

Poor Little Thing...

I've heard that Koala's are a tad feisty by nature, so I think it's amazing that they seem to know somehow that the people are trying to help them.

These fires have brought massive destruction, and death to hundreds of humans and countless numbers of wildlife. They appear to be acts of arson (actually terrorism might be a better term) and the police have arrested a suspect. If it is the bastard (or one of the bastards) who did this, I think burning at the stake would be appropriate.

Nice Shooting - or - Ammo Is So Much Cheaper Than A Trial

This happened back in October and I missed the story. Cape Girardeau Woman Kills Man Who Returned To Rape Her A Second Time

An intended rape victim shot and killed her attacker this morning in Cape Girardeau when he broke into her home to rape her a second time, police said.

The 57-year-old woman shot Ronnie W. Preyer, 47, a registered sex offender, in the chest with a shotgun when he broke through her locked basement door.

The woman told police he was the same man who raped her several days earlier. Officials do not intend to seek charges against her.
Thank you ma'am.

Mr. Preyer, have a nice stay in Hell.

Eh What The Huh?!

Man Poses As Underwear Market Researcher, Pleads Guilty To Child Molestation Charges
Ben Hawkins pleaded guilty Wednesday to nine charges of importuning and three counts of gross sexual imposition.

Prosecutors in Hamilton County say Hawkins looked for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 16. They say he arranged to meet parents and children at schools, hospitals or at their homes and told parents he needed to measure their children's underwear for research.
Okay, the "underwear market researcher" should be punished, but seriously who are these parents? Why are they allowed to still have custody of their children? At the very least they should be kicked in the head repeatedly.

Sometimes Politics Doesn't Matter

S.F. Activist Slain In New Orleans Robbery
To Kirsten Brydum, a passionate 25-year-old community activist from San Francisco, one person's junk was another's treasure.
Images

Brydum, who wanted to change the world, certainly changed Dolores Park. Because of her, there is something called the Really, Really Free Market. People bring their rummage to the park on the last Saturday of the month and give it away. Nobody gets any money and everyone walks away a little richer. That was how she liked it.

She loved the freedom of far-flung travel and of cycling. On Saturday, while cycling after midnight in New Orleans after spending Friday evening in a dance club, she was shot in the head and killed in an apparent robbery, police said. Her killer remains at large.
I'm sure Kirsten and I wouldn't have hit it off politically, but I hope justice is served well on the bastard that did this. She sounds like a caring human being and the world is poorer without her.

These Bastards Have A Special Place In Hell

Thieves Steal Puppy of 10-Year-Old Boy With Cancer

You see, this is why we need public corporal punishment in this country - like they have in Singapore. Nothing crazy like the Muslims where you lose a hand or head or get stoned to death - just a few good hard whacks on the ass out in front of the Court House and then a night in the stocks.

Mirandize Those Who Terrorize?

Come on, you knew it would happen: Bin Laden Driver Was Not Read Rights, Court Told
A driver for Osama bin Laden was not told of any rights against self-incrimination under years of interrogation, FBI agents told the Guantanamo war crimes court on Thursday. [...]

The commission's chief defense counsel, Col. Steve David, said after Thursday's court session that Hamdan's lawyers intended on Friday to raise "significant new evidence" regarding Hamdan's treatment in interrogations that could reopen the issue of whether evidence can be used against him.

I'd like to think a military tribunal might be more impervious to stupid arguments such as this than the Kennedy Faction on the Supreme Court; but get ready, because this won't be the last time you hear bullshit defenses like this. Especially if John McCain gets his chance to close Guantánamo, as he has promised.

San Francisco Has Blood On Its Hands

The City by the Bay and its liberal politics has lead to the murder of three Americans at the hands of an illegal immigrant: Killings Turn Focus On San Francisco Sanctuary Law
The scene repeats itself daily on city streets: a driver gets stuck bumper to bumper, blocking an intersection and preventing another car from turning left.

But authorities say that was enough to cause Edwin Ramos to unload an AK-47 assault weapon on a man and his two sons, killing them.

The deaths immediately drew public outrage, which intensified when authorities revealed that Ramos, 21, is an illegal immigrant who managed to avoid deportation despite previous brushes with the law.

The case has put San Francisco's liberal politics to the test, setting off a debate over its sanctuary law that shields undocumented immigrants from deportation.

On Wednesday, Ramos pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder in the deaths of Anthony Bologna, 49, and his sons, Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16. Bologna and his older son died in the intersection on June 22. His younger son succumbed to his injuries days later.
Mayor Newsom, the city council, and everyone who helped enact or supports San Francisco's City of Refuge Ordinance are guilty of murder just as surely as Edwin Ramos is. Mrs. Bologna asks a question that should make all of us stop and think: "If my family wasn’t safe, what makes you think yours will be?" Oh, and remember to ask yourself that question the next time you hear John McCain double-talking about his DREAM to help make it easier for people like Ramos to stay in this country.

Hey, It's Their Beach

Dubai Detains 79 For Indecent Behavior On Beaches
Westerners were getting too racy on the beaches of this Persian Gulf tourist haven, and a police crackdown on topless sunbathing, nudity and other indecent behavior has resulted in 79 arrests in recent days.

Undercover officers are strolling the sand while others stand guard in new watchtowers to enforce the social mores of this Muslim city-state, which is a booming business center that is attracting growing hordes of foreign tourists.
You know the old saying: when in Dubai, do as the Doobyites do. They should just thank the Emirs they weren't raped just because they "were asking for it."

Let me ask the real question though... who is dumb enough to vacation in a country like that? And if they do, and get arrested for indecency why should we have any sympathy for them?

File Under: WTF?!

Hospital Video Shows No One Helped Dying Woman
A shocking video shows a woman dying on the floor in the psych ward at Kings County Hospital, while people around her, including a security guard, did nothing to help.

After an hour, another mental patient finally got the attention of the indifferent hospital workers, according to the tape, obtained by the Daily News.

Worse still, the surveillance tape suggests hospital staff may have falsified medical charts to cover the utter lack of treatment provided Esmin Green before she died.

"Thank God for the videotape because no one would have believed this could have happened," said Donna Lieberman, executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union.

"There's a clear possibility of criminal wrongdoing with regard to recordkeeping, and that has to be investigated."

Every fucking employee at that hospital should be publicly flogged in Times Square. One of the mental patients had enough sense to try and do something, for God's sake! WTF, people!?

Somehow It Doesn't Seem Like Enough?

Police Kill Man Who Stomped Baby To Death
Police killed a 27-year-old man as he kicked, punched and stomped a toddler to death despite other people's attempts to stop him on a dark, country road, authorities said.

Investigators on Sunday were trying to establish the relationship between the suspect and the child they say he killed Saturday night. The Stanislaus County coroner said the boy appeared to be between 1 and 2 years old based on his size, according to county sheriff's deputy Royjindar Singh. [...]

"What we got from witnesses is he was punching, slapping, kicking, stomping, shaking," Singh said. "They tried to intervene and get involved, but their efforts really didn't have an effect. The suspect was engaged in what he was doing. He just pushed them off and went back to it."

A sheriff's helicopter responding to emergency calls from the area landed in a cow pasture at 10:19 p.m. carrying a Modesto police officer who shot the man to death after he refused an order to stop beating the child, Singh said.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate the toddler, who was not breathing when they arrived. The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Somehow just killingthe motherf-cker - while a good move by the cops - doesn't seem like enough.

I'm Sorry, Who Doesn't Deserve To Live?

Marine, Back From Iraq, Shot Dead In His Home Town

On leave from the violence he had survived in the war in Iraq, a young Marine was so wary of crime on the streets of his own home town that he carried only $8 to avoid becoming a robbery target.

Despite his caution, Lance Cpl. Robert Crutchfield, 21, was shot point-blank in the neck during a robbery at a bus stop.

Feeding and breathing tubes kept him alive 41/2 months, until he died of an infection on May 18.

Two men have been charged in the attack, and Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason said Friday the case was under review to decide whether to seek the death penalty.

They bastards who shot him deserve a fair trail right? Well, after the trial can we execute them?

Stupid Criminal / Stupid Victim

Boy Lured Into Sex With Co-Worker By Photo Of Pamela Anderson's Breasts

A 32-year-old woman sent a picture of Pamela Anderson's breasts to a 15-year-old workmate shortly before beginning a sexual relationship with him, the Supreme Court in Launceston has heard.

Courtney Issabella Bailey, now 34, told police that the boy had texted her asking her for a picture of her breasts – but she sent a picture of the Baywatch star's breasts instead.

Bailey received a four-month suspended jail term today after pleading guilty to five counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 in January 2007.
Not to excuse her crime, but if the guy was dumb enough to believe her breasts look like Pamela Anderson's then there's not much we can do to help him in the long run.

As If We Needed Someone Else To Tell Us

AP Exclusive: Ex-manager Says O. J. Simpson Confessed
He [memorabilia dealer Mike Gilbert] said Simpson had smoked pot, took a sleeping pill and was drinking beer when he confided at his Brentwood home weeks after his trial what happened the night of June 12, 1994. Simpson said he went to his ex- wife's condominium, but did not bring a knife with him. Simpson told him Nicole Brown Simpson had one in her hand when she opened the door.

In a soft mumble, Simpson told him: "If she hadn't opened that door with a knife in her hand ... she'd still be alive."
Don't worry O. J. - I only believe every word the man said...
