HEY NEW YORK TIMES: LET GO OF THE INTERNATIONAL FREEDOM CENTER
Just as it wouldn't be appropriate to anchor a memorial to WWII Japanese internees with an interactive museum discussing their experiences next to the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor. It also isn't appropriate to build an IFC on the WTC site.
I'm not opposed to the idea of the IFC, though I remain unconvinced it would be anything other than an exercise in self-flagellation and groveling apologetics, it simply belongs somewhere other than the WTC site.
I say the only lesson to be learned is that evil men desire our destruction and without regard for human life are willing to do anything within their power to accomplish it. We must fight them with every fiber of our being.
