HOW OUT OF TOUCH CAN A CELEBRITY BE?
"You know, some people are stealing and they're making a big deal out of it," Dion said on CNN's "Larry King Live," as she said she'd donate $1 million toward relief.
"Oh, they're stealing 20 pair of jeans or they're stealing television sets. Who cares? They're not going to go too far with it. Maybe those people are so poor, some of the people who do that they're so poor they've never touched anything in their lives. Let them touch those things for once."
Who cares? I do! If you feel that bad for them let'em touch/loot your shit honey, but they better keep their dirt scratchers off mine. Actually, I wonder how Celine would feel if the looters were coming for her jeans and TV? I guez she woo'd jest, 'ow you say, geev' everezing to zee puhor peeples, no? NOT! She'd have her security detail shoot them in the head and she knows it.
It's easy to be generous with other peoples' stuff, ain't it Commrade Dion. Also, its just a BIT hypocritcal for someone who owns upwards of three mansions, to criticize anyone else for looking down on 'looters' because they're just poor deprived people. If it means that much to you - let some of the displaced New Orleans street gangs hold their meetings in one of your palaces.
Go back to Canada Celine. After reading this I wouldn't walk across the street, much less 'drive all night,' to buy one of your albums. But if the opportunity ever arises to loot one of them...maayybeee!
