BAGHDAD, Iraq -— A homicide bomber blew up his car outside a hospital south of Baghdad on Thursday while U.S. troops handed out candy and food to children, killing 30 people and wounding about 40, including four Americans.Nothing says jihad like blowing up some innocent children while they're happily collecting candy. A civil affairs team from the U.S. Army's Task Force Baghdad was at the hospital studying ways to upgrade the facility when the bomber struck just outside the guarded compound, a U.S. military statement said.You see, functioning infrastructure like hospitals and water treatment plants show the Iraqi people that their future is bright. The Islamofascists don't want them to get a taste of what life could be like because that will make the shift back to the 12th century more of a shock after the glorious caliphate is established.

Why can't they do something civilized, like have a Crusade?
of course the US backed folks are right out of the Tehran mold, so I think they're heading for the 12th Century no matter what happens... I foresee a booming business in burkas.
You know, John, the crusades might be a valid argument if they were still happening. Western Civilization hasn't had one in centuries. You see Christianity is adaptable, and capable of self-critcism. Thus it is able to correct its errors.
Islam however is the same barbaric, hateful religion it was since Mohammed came out the cave with the first draft of the Islamofascist Manifesto (aka the Koran.)
Islam is incapable of adapting to the modern world and incapable of self-critisim. It cannot survive in its current form as long a free people resist its horrible philosophy. We must make sure we always resist it.
So I assume that you're concerned that the new government in Iraq is looking to make it an explicitly Muslim state, and that polling there (such as some of the Zogby stuff) shows that the population is very strongly in favor of having laws based on Islamic teachings?
