THE WAR VOTE
Right now, they're voting on whether or not to take a vote on the Murtha resolution.
*****************************
9:48 PM Just noticed that Congress managed to vote itself a $3,100 pay raise today. I bet that didn't take 4 hours of debate...
*****************************
9:54 PM Okay, they're going to vote on it. Now the long debate on the actual resolution starts...Henry Hyde is speaking.
*****************************
10:55 PM Good God these people can drone on and on...
*****************************
11:00 PM The debate is getting raucous. Sounds a bit like parliament.
*****************************
11:26 PM I can't believe I've watched CSPAN all night...Thank God for Vodka.
*****************************
11:34 PM Murtha's resolution failed, by a lot. 403 to 3, with 22 members not voting. It was a bit anticlimactic actually.

Moonbats on Parade!!! :-)
It wasn't Murtha's bill. Murtha's Bill and the GOP's Bill were two very different things.
Hence, the reason it was voted down 403-3.
They knew they didn't want to debate the real issues, which is why they were too scared to put Murtha's actual bill to a vote.
Face it Joe,
It was a shrewd political move to call for an immediate vote on withdrawal and the Dems didn't have the balls to put their money where their mouth is. Just call it a home run for the Republicans and get over it.
