Neal Boortz believes that Governor Schwarzenegger will give clemency to convicted murder and violent gang founder Stanley "Tookie" Williams. Boortz reasons that if Tookie is executed:
...there will be riots in South Central Los Angeles and elsewhere. The huge media exploitation of this story has made drop-dead sure of that. There are thugs just waiting for an excuse ... not a reason, an excuse. The rioting, of course, will lead to wide scale looting. There are a lot of aspiring rappers and NBA superstars who could really use a nice flat-screen television right now.
I wish I could disagree with him, but history speaks for itself. There were the same concerns about possible rioting as the OJ Simpson verdict approached. I still believe that with the Rodney King riots fresh in their minds, the jurors in the Simpson case allowed the fear of a repeat of 1992 to affect their reasoning. The fact that the Tookmeister founded the Crips, one of the most violent and murderous gangs in the country, is also a worrisome factor. How could they resist the opportunity to avenge their founder, and take out a few enemies as well, when given such a perfect excuse for violence. Or worse, work with the other gangs to wreak even more horrible havoc.

I disagree that you wish you could disagree. The government isn't scared of rioting, they're scared of the minorities. But they don't want to say that because they're scared to. I most enjoyed how the quote read: "aspiring rappers and NBA players" or something to that effect. Why don't they just say n---ers? You and I both know they want to. Fuck America.
