Paul Greenberg reminds us of the stuff we're made of in "A brief history of Western valor", ending in a sharp contrast between the mettle of our ancestors and a certain head of the DNC.

Speaking as a Viet Nam veteran, i don't understand what all this has to do with what Dean said.

ll that stuff about bravery is lovely, but not applicable to any aspect of the situation we find ourselves in today beacause Georgie wanted to prove his dock was bigger than Saddam's. (Judging by the reports i hear out of the trial, this is, even yet, foregone conclusion.)

All those guys are right, and Dean is right -- and Dean's correctness has nothing to do with courage, bravery or any thing else that George Bush has so far demonstrated, it has to do with intelligence.

(And not the cooked "intelligence" Bush used to get us into thie mess.)
