Andrew Sullivan Defends The New York Times

I rather thought this might happen. It isn't surprising given his ongoing shift (for lack of a better term.)

How surprising that he doesn't completely understand that this is a national security issue leaked to the MSM just to undermine Bush.

Andrew was once both an intellectual and emotional anchor for this isolated and newly post 9/11-hatched ex-liberal gay man (whew!). His turn to Kerry was a blow. And his hysterical moralizing has made him unreadable. A big loss, to me.

Me, too. Sullivan was the first example of a "gay conservative" I had ever come across. There were certainly times in the past that he deviated from the party line, but I took those in stride. However, after one of his blogging hiatuses (hiati?), he suddenly and unexpectedly turned incredibly screechy and, dare I say, wobbly. I couldn't read him after that. I still don't click on any links that lead to his blog.
