Muslim Outrage My Ass

From Neal Boortz:

Muslim outrage huh. OK ... let's do a little historical review. Just some lowlights:
  • Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage.
  • A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage.
  • Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage
  • Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage.
  • Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.
  • Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged.

Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose.

Screw'em.

Europe is waking up at last. Congratulations to those newspapers who have had the courage to print these cartoons. Shame on those that haven't.

Now if only one of the cartoons had depicted Mo's paedophilia with a 9 year old girl or his cold blooded massacre of hundreds of men and boys at Medina, we could send the seething and whining off the scale!

I've seen very similar bullet-point lists like that before. But they're usually lists of atrocities committed by homosexuals and used by Christian fanatics to abdicate discrimination against gays.

Anon, I'm afraid I have to give your comment a failing grad. You cite no sources, you misused the word "abdicate" when I believe you may have meant "advocate," your argument is nothing but a straw man, and you forgot to sign your paper with your name. That's a big ol' F for you.

Let's remember, Muslim expansion has always been cunducted by slashing swords. From the days of The Prophet to the days of their profit.

Linked to your blog. what a list.

Yeah
I saw the cartoons. I think they are offensive and very rude.

Kevin 2/16/2006 08:37:00 AM

They probably are very offensive to the prophets followers. But that is of no consequence - in a free society the cartoonist have a right to offend and blaspheme.

Kevin 2/16/2006 09:24:00 PM

As much as I applaud the hardy moderate muslims willing to risk their lives to demonstrate against their murderous brethren, their numbers are few and their protests far between. They have a long, long way to go before they are the rule rather than the exception.

Kevin 2/16/2006 09:26:00 PM

Oh and "bigot" only has one "g".

And the last time I checked, none of the commentors here have flown planes full of innocent men, women, and children into skyscrapers.

Just for the record, I believe in god but I don't believe any of the religions. I think those books are good novels, I have read bible, zebur, tevrat and kuran
those are pretty much the same, they have lots of symbols filled in, I think thats very childish.
Anyways lots of people believe in them and its their problem.
Queer, I wanna ask you something about this opinion "in a free society the cartoonist have a right to offend and blaspheme"
What if you saw a cartoon and it showed Muhammed fucking Jesus, did you feel it that way again?
I think beliefs are too sensitive, you can easily offend someone by manupulating his beliefs.
PS. English is not my mother lang. as you may already understand:)
Provocation and freedom has different meanings in english right?

Kevin 2/17/2006 09:06:00 AM

Provocation and Freedom do indeed have different meanings. The problem is that what one person believes is an exercise of freedom may be seen as "provocation" by another. Freedom must be allowed to provoke or it isn't truly freedom.

If I saw a cartoon of "Muhammed fucking Jesus" it wouldn't greatly offend me. It's just a cartoon. I'd probably chuckle at the immaturity of the artist who made it, but I would certainly not go out with a mob and burn down embassies and restaurants or commit other acts of violence.

Kevin 2/18/2006 12:03:00 PM

Please point me to the video or news article which shows tens of thousands of Catholics, or Jews, or Buddhists, or Zoroastrians rampaging and pillaging through the streets, burning embassies and calling for the death of Danes, Americans, and Brits.

You have some very "nice" sentiments, unfortunately reality doesn't bear them out.

alper 2/21/2006 06:48:00 AM

Did you remember bosnia?
Did you remember how Serbian Christians killed innocent muslim civilians?
Do you need any video about those times? or you just ignore them?
Like I said before ignorents same in everywhere, no matter how they beleive in god.

Kevin 2/21/2006 09:08:00 AM

Alper - I've never said the Muslims are the only group that commit violence in the name of religion. However, Muslims do seem to resort to it as a matter of course, always choosing violence as the first response.

Why do you defend people who hate your very existence? I'll never understand that.

alper 2/22/2006 03:14:00 AM

lol
me neither :)))
