Of Immigrants and Xboxes

Ann Coulter, right on target as always:
This is the only country on Earth that thinks it's not sporting to consider our own interests in choosing immigrants. Try showing up in any other country on the planet, illiterate and penniless, and announcing: "I've seen pictures of your country and it looks great. I think I'd like to live here! Oh, and by the way, would you mind changing all your government and business phone messages, street signs and ballots into my native language? Thanks!" They would laugh you out of the country.

It's as if we've got the last Xbox 360s available on Christmas Eve and instead of doubling the price, we're entertaining low-ball offers. Or more accurately, we're paying our customers to take the darn things off our hands — and the customers are still indignant with us.
Exactly.

One more thing:

I would also like a better life. I suppose I could work up here, but live in Mexico, but did you know that it remains ostensibly illegal [in Mexico] for foreign citizens to buy land within 100 kilometres of the Mexican coast?

Is that a racist policy?

hard to argue with ann on this one.
however, she was on o'reilly tonight espousing sending 'em all back and building THE WALL which is a little impractical since we're talking about maybe 12 million people who are not easily identifiable without going around asking for people's 'papers' and i have some discomfort with that..plus it would cost a fortune to ship 'em all out even if we could identify them. .. and let's face it, we all love the cheap labor that helps keep prices down...so it's a wee bit more complicated than ann's final solution... although the idea of having illegals build THE WALL is kinda funny.

Well, we certainly can't round up all 12 million and send them back en masse. But we can aggressively repatriate the ones we do find. And by that I don't mean just dump them across the border in Tiajuana or Juarez, but put them back into Mexico as far south as possible.

The first thing we need to do is secure the border. Once we stem the tide, we can figure out the rest.

The population of Riverside County jails is about 25% illegals. The County Board of Supervisors is preparing to establish a training program for the sherif's deputies so they can question these inmates, find out their immigration status and then deport them if they are here illegally. That's a whole lotta peepo
