Let's look at what these two school-bus riding stowaways show us.
That it's easy to get here, that we don't have a reasonable means to control those who do get here and, far worse, we don't get the simple message of what terrorism really is.
Terrorism is its own means and end, the creation of fear.
That these two men have been able to cause the fear and apprehension they have is the real story.
As the President has said, "A terrorist only has to be right once." (paraphrase)
How many simple actions like their's are carried out daily and go unnoticed, we can only guess.
Think of it! They're here to go to a language school and just happen to board a school-bus for a High School. How simplistic is that?
Well any neophyte in the intelligence community can spot a legend. But we must ask, how many parallel legends are roaming about with simple excuses, mulitiple and contradictory?
Paranoia doesn't exclude the possibility that someone doesn't want to kill us, or our innocent children.
Let's look at what these two school-bus riding stowaways show us.
That it's easy to get here
Unless you are south of the border, it is not easy to get here. Student visas from both Arab and non-Arab countries have been severely restricted since 9/11.
