Moral Equivalence Gone Wild

It's the most marvelously amazing thing over at the Malcontent. Some of the commenters (well, most of them actually, I'm quite alone it seems) will do backflips and handstands while holding their testicles in their mouths to keep from singularly criticizing radical Islam. They are compelled, as if by some sort of drug or spell, to never criticize the Islamofascists without also body slamming Christianity as a bad, bad thing itself. Even those who don't specify Christianity as the real beastly ideology of the world always invoke some nebulous "any radicalism" in order not to single out Islam. I just don't get it, and quite frankly I'm tired of trying to figure them out. I've decided that for the most part they're just willfully stupid.
