Soulforce / 2007 Equality Ride

Hey Stephen and Enku,

I'm a Mississippi College alum, and I wanted to write and say thanks for what you're trying to accomplish in the halls of "Truth & Virtue" [through the 2007 Equality Ride]

I remember how difficult it was to come out way back in the late 80s when I was attending MC. Oh there were certainly many other gay and lesbian students there, and we all found each other for the most part. But we were a silent minority observing from the outside. It really was a different world then.

I only just found out about the ride through a friend's blog, and I'm not sure I'll be able to join you on March 22 - but I'm going to do my absolute best. I'm also going to put up a link for the ride at the blogs I write for and make sure I contact my old friends from MC who still live in town and make them aware of the event.

Again, thank you for taking a stand. And on March 22 remember, the Lord gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak [Isaiah 40:29].
