Climate... It Changes... Imagine That?

More climate change common sense from an MIT Professor of Meteorology:
Why So Gloomy?

Judging from the media in recent months, the debate over global warming is now over. There has been a net warming of the earth over the last century and a half, and our greenhouse gas emissions are contributing at some level. Both of these statements are almost certainly true. What of it? Recently many people have said that the earth is facing a crisis requiring urgent action. This statement has nothing to do with science. There is no compelling evidence that the warming trend we've seen will amount to anything close to catastrophe. What most commentators—and many scientists—seem to miss is that the only thing we can say with certainly about climate is that it changes.
Thank goodness, the tide of this debate seems to be turning, not rising.

I sure hope the tide is turning....the whole thing is driving me crazy. Here we (teachers) are told to teach critical thinking skills and in the next breath told to accept global warming with very shaky evidence. Yikes!

Kevin,
three cheers for the scientists that are finally coming forward and debinking the morons who are trying to politicize climate change -- notice how according to Gore et al, all this is going to happen in a flea's dick moment.....yeah sure, or at least before the next election.
And Kevin, I recently discovered your blog and thoroughly am thoroughly enjoying it....I am so happy to find another gay conservative. Thanks!
