Back To The Fifties With Harry "Jim Crow" Reid
Well apparently he would!
The top Democrat in the U.S. Senate apologized on Saturday for comments he made about Barack Obama's race during the 2008 presidential bid and are quoted in a yet-to-be-released book about the campaign. And Joe Biden says "Don't forget clean, Harry! He's clean too!" Reid & Robert Byrd then broke into a rousing duet of "Old Man River" and closed with "Mammy".
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." Obama is the nation's first African-American president.
Good grief, I don't know whether to laugh at them or feel sorry for them.

Why am I not surprised at Harry Reid? I used to ask, "Would you buy snake oil from this guy?"
As I thought it over, he's the very image of the type of guy who'd be selling it.
I had a senate district that include the state's largest black population. The worst anyone ever said about me was, "David, your problem is you're pigment impaired."
It's quite a contrast in moods here in Boston where the GOP has a candidate coming within 9 points of the Amazon designated to win The Kennedy Fief.
Scott Brown's a mensch; has the looks and the books, an attorney, state senator, open book, daughter play's basketball for BC, Lt.Col in the "Guard" ( yet not a self-professing 'snake-eater'.
I didn't think we could do it.
A GOP candidate for the coming up gubernatorial fight has already raised more than The Hawaii Kid's pal, Deval Patrick.
Now, the above are only current readings, but.....
Oh, Yes. I got a chuckle out of a term used in a military commentary book. "Hope is not a Strategy".
