REMEMBER THE SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD

So, bonnie Prince Charles, accompanied by his equine duchess, is on the way to the "colonies" to set us straight about Muslims and Islam. Apparently Chuckles thinks we've been too "confrontational" and "intolerant" since 9/11. Gee, he's so deep. Knee deep that is, in Royal bullshit.

Apparently we need someone to explain the "merits" of Islam to us. I guess we've just misunderstood the poor wittle Muslims.

The Prince of Wales will try to persuade George W Bush and Americans of the merits of Islam this week because he thinks the United States has been too intolerant of the religion since September 11.

The Prince, who leaves on Tuesday for an eight-day tour of the US, has voiced private concerns over America's "confrontational" approach to Muslim countries and its failure to appreciate Islam's strengths.

Well boo freakin' hoo! Let's tally up some the "merits" of Islam shall we? In no particular order:

• September 11, 2001 - The World Trade Center destroyed, the Pentagon damaged, 4 planes filled with innocent people destroyed.
• July 7, 2005 - The London subway and bus bombings.
• The Beslan School Massacre: Islamic militants shoot fleeing children in the back, then blow them up, along with their mothers and teachers with nail-packed bombs. Others are crushed or burned to death from the effects of the bombs. More than three-hundred innocents slaughtered.
• The first Bali bombings: Series of Al-Qaeda bombs in nightclubs kill more than two--hundred people, injure at least three-hundred more.
• Islamic suicide bombers murder nineteen people, mostly tourists, at two cafes and a restaurant in three coordinated attacks. Over one-hundred are injured.
• India: Three coordinated blasts that tear through a bus and two markets crowded with people celebrating a Hindu festival bear all the hallmarks of the Religion of Peace. An Islamic group claims responsibility.
• Indonesia: Three Christian 16-year-old girls on their way to school are attacked and beheaded by six Muslim gentlemen, who leave the headless bodies in the street and carry the heads to a different location.
• Amsterdam: Dutch filmmaker (Grandnephew of painter Van Gogh) shot to death by a 26-year-old Moroccan after making a film critical of Islam.
• Baghdad: Jihadists behead two Macedonian hostages on video. They also kill four Iraqi Guardsmen standing in formation and injure more than eighty with a mortar attack.
• Karachi, Pakistan: Vicious killing by Islamists who barge into a Christian charity office, tie up six men, then execute six by shooting them in the back of the head.
• Nablus, Israel: Palestinian gunmen ambush a van carrying Israeli worshippers on their way home from a prayer service. Seven are injured.
• Philippines: 24-year-old Christian man is attacked by Muslim activists, badly beaten and left for dead.
• Nigeria: Muslim extremists attack a group of Christian evangelists. Two people are beaten to death and at least ten others injured.
• Indonesia: Muslims open fire on churches in Indonesia, injuring three Christians.

This little visit by an out of touch elitist should be an excellent reminder for all Americans as to why we booted the royal bombasts 230 years ago.
