Okay, everyone out of the gene pool please...

Some people would call this an accident, or innocent fun gone wrong. I say it's natural selection and we shouldn't interfere.

HUDSON, Texas -- Police are searching for the driver of a sport utility vehicle who ran over two teenage girls who were laying in the middle of the road in an apparent game of "chicken" during a slumber party over the weekend.

The girls, ages 13 and 14, remained hospitalized Tuesday in Lufkin, Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety withheld their names because of their ages.

Trooper Ramey Bass said one of the girls suffered internal injuries and the other had a broken collarbone and several lost teeth.

Bass said the adults at the party were inside at the time of the accident.

He said the driver of the SUV didn't stop.

Bass said in The Lufkin Daily News that he didn't know if the driver knew that someone had been run over.
