The Five Challenges
Gingrich lays out five challenges for America; challenges we must meet and win if we are to survive as a nation and a people:
The future cannot be left to chance. The future must be won.Are we up to the task? I think so, but we've got to start working now if we hope to succeed.
Today, in order to win the future, there are five challenges that America must meet:For 400 years, in the spirit of freedom and entrepreneurial pioneering, we have defined a better America that has overcome every challenge. It is in this tradition that I will regularly share my thoughts here on the solutions necessary for our generation to meet these challenges and win the future.
- Confronting a world in which America's enemies, including the irreconcilable wing of Islam and rogue dictatorships, could acquire and use nuclear or biological weapons;
- Defending God in the public square;
- Protecting America's unique civilization;
- Competing in the global economy in an era of the economic rise of China and India, which will require transformations in litigation, education, taxation, regulation, and environmental, energy and health policies for America to continue to be the most successful economy in the world;
- Promoting active, healthy aging so more people can live longer, which will require dramatic transformation in pensions, Social Security and health care.

Today, in order to win the future, there are five challenges that America must meet:
1.
Confronting a world in which America's enemies, including the irreconcilable wing of Islam and rogue dictatorships, could acquire and use nuclear or biological weapons.
Translation: Launch pre-emptive attacks on every nation that has breathed in our direction the wrong way - especially if said nations produce oil. Scare U.S. citizens into believing said nations have weapons of mass destruction. Say that regime change will only take a few months. Stay in nation forever. Repeat with next nation.
2. Defending God in the public square.
Translation: force every public school student (if there are any public schools left) to say Jesus' name, to fellate a Christmas tree, to study intelligent design as if it were science. Act like you are being religiously persecuted if local Target store does not have creche.
3. Protecting America's unique civilization.
Translation: Forcibly eject all illegal MEXICAN immigrants; teach dead white constipated male version of American history; cry that angry white Christian males are being persecuted whenever someone who does not think like them opens his or her mouth; call anyone who exercises freedom of speech a traitor; pass laws outlawing things that never happen, such as flag burning, marriage between two men, a woman, and a sheep, eliminate Martin Luther King Jr. day as a federal holiday, eliminate black history month and replace it with Confederate history month; force all college professors at public universities to spout conservative talking points upon pain of termination.
4. Competing in the global economy in an era of the economic rise of China and India, which will require transformations in litigation, education, taxation, regulation, and environmental, energy and health policies for America to continue to be the most successful economy in the world;
Translation: tort deform; more outsorcuing to China and India; complete elimination of any taxation for people making $1,000,000 or more a year; elimination of regulatory agencies altogether; passage of laws providing incentives to polluters to keep polluting; revival of internal combustion engine; continue addiction to Arab oil; drill in ANWR and then a year later, when there's no oil left there, continue addiction to Arab oil; have poor people fund newly-created corporate "quasi-regulatory" agencies that will take the place of EPA, CDC, etc.; with said agencies' purpose being the regulation of environmentalists, scientists, and thinkers.
5. Promoting active, healthy aging so more people can live longer, which will require dramatic transformation in pensions, Social Security and health care.
Translation:
elimination of Pension Benefit Guaranty system; elimination of social security, Medicare and Medicaid; pass laws requiring corporations to eliminate offering 401ks and IRAs; repeal of ERISA; passage of new laws mandating that "from this point forward, the nation's health care and retirement policy shall be: don't get sick or poor."
