Consider The Source, Tony...
Don't worry yourself about the criticism from Jimmy Carter, a failed former President whose idea of a "foreign policy" is appeasement and surrender. Americans don't take him seriously, nor should you.
Remember, Jimmy Carter is the man who blamed not himself for his failure, but the American people for lacking the will to implement his schemes (sorry, I meant policies.)
Remember, Jimmy Carter is the man who allowed the Ayatollah to return to Iran, thus giving us the intransigent Islamofascist theocracy we must deal with today.
Remember, Jimmy Carter is the man who showed Muslim fanatics that terrorist attacks and hostage taking could cow the United States into defeat.
Remember, Jimmy Carter is the man who brokered the Munich deal with North Korea that was broken almost before the ink was dry.
All in all, Jimmy Carter's Presidency and the words "dismal failure" will be forever entwined. Only one good thing came from his administration: Ronald Reagan.
