Analogy FAIL!
Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said THIS about Ted Kennedy's Senate seat..."Why would you hand the keys to the car back to the same guys whose policies drove the economy into the ditch and then walked away from the scene of the accident?"Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

Massachusetts citizens defeated one of the greatest blights in the human character - ARROGANCE.
I'll spare too much in commentary here. I expect my feet will toucn ground tomorrow sometime. When Brown said "Obama should stay out of this race". He in fact called him out and he marched right into the trap. I think Obama did as much to elect Scott Brown to be my new Senator as anyone.
We had a rally down the street at NEU on Sunday, where Obama spoke on behalf of Coakley. I was impressed by enthusiastic people ages 20 - 40 - and impressing folk at that, not the snake-eaters and various elements of haters, but real people.
Well, we can expect Barack to follow form with some exception. Now, instead of George Bush, he can blame Martha Cokley (or as Congressman "Patches" Kennedy referred to her, Marsha Coakley).
So, Kevin and gang, take heart. You too can share a moment like this.
Kennedy had a dog named SPLASH, for goodness sake!
We'll cross that bridge when we come to it...
It will be interesting between now and November.
I'm waiting for Mary Jo Kopechne's comment on Brown's election.
It's amusing that Patrick "Patches" Kennedy had referred to Scott Brown's candidacy as a joke.
During Teddy's (His Daddy's) first election (elevation) AG Eddy McCormick, his primary rival said, "If your name was Edward Moore, instead of Edward Moore Kennedy, your candidacy would be a joke."
But then again, Patches 'political career' may be just a punchline to a joke. He, evidently, has a real challenge in the coming elections -if he's out of detox long enough to campaign.
